The complete renovation of two adjoining Victorian buildings in Hamilton’s Hess Village entertainment district creates an upscale, modern entertainment complex. Had a great time at gown and gavel this evening. I ordered a coffee and sat next to the fire. They offered visitors to enjoy complimentary bonfire and s’mores! they were very good to their visitors during the Christmas market.

I have not been to the G and G for some time. I was just there for a small private function in the upstairs room. Just drinks. There is a bar and our server was great. I can't comment on food or anything else but I had a nice night out...

This past weekend I booked the upstairs to celebrate my moms 50th Birthday. From the beginning to the end, the service was phenomenal. During the booking process, I spoke with Diana, who was super helpful! She designed a catering menu and made me feel confident that they could assist me and my family with anything we would need. During the event the bartender and server were fantastic, my family kept telling me how impressed they all were. Great food, amazing customer connections. Thank you again for helping me set up an amazing event for all of my loved ones to enjoy!

Gown and Gavel has been nothing but disappointing. I went for my friends birthday, paid the $20 for the fast lane and whoever the woman bouncer is was shown 4 pieces of valid id (G2, G1, Health Card and student id.) but did not let my 22 year old friend in because she claimed the license “didn’t look like her”. This woman was not only on a power trip but she was extremely disrespectful. Not to mention i watched her let the people in front of us in and at least 2 out of the 5 of them were 17 (I know this because I worked as a McMaster welcome week rep). She clearly was having a bad day and made a point of making sure everyone around her did as well. I suggest your team looks into if having this bouncer in your company is a good idea or not as she will continue to make you lose customers I would be happy to come and discuss this further in person

Had an incredible time at Gown and Gavel! The place has a sleek, modern design that really sets the mood for a night out. The party was in full swing, and the vibe was just right with great music, an energetic crowd, and a layout that made it easy to move around . The security team was on point, friendly yet professional, making sure everyone felt safe. The management clearly knows how to run a great venue; everything was smooth and well-organized. It's definitely one of the best spots I’ve been to in a while!

Went there last night for 2 beers, gravy and fries. There's something suspect with the pint they say is 20oz. The fries. Horrible. Some undercooked, some burnt and the gravy tasteless. The waitress was great though. When I complained about the terrible fries she removed it from the bill. Total with 20% tip $22.

We stopped for dinner and drinks on a business trip. Great atmosphere and service. Enjoyed the burger. Food for the group was good and as expected for the location.

Nice place to hang out with friends and family at Hess village. Staff is very nice, and the nachos are great! Ask for the cocktail tower if you’re in a group and don’t mind sharing drinks. Patio seating available. Minimal street parking but there are several paid municipal parking lots nearby.
