The Good Son

Really enjoyed the service and the food! The service was exceptional and they were able to provide an amazing experience for me and my partner. The heater was temporarily broken on one side of the restaurant but there was a small space heater that warmed up our side.

Everything was excellent at the good son! Our server did their best to accommodate all of our requests and they even gave us a drink on the house when our kid pilled one of our drinks all over the table.

The dough of the pizza is great! I just wished the fried calamari plate, the margarita, and the dark and stormy drink wer a little bit bigger. The staff is charming and sweet. Great hosts. Pizza is like Eataly's! Awesome, feels legit Italian. Check out my pictures.

One of the best Italian restaurants I have been there in Toronto. The food ingredients were so fresh and the taste was so good. Pizza was really crispy and Pasta with mushrooms and truffle oil tasted great. The salad was well dressed with peaches slices. The menu was not clear enough and not classified, so for placing an order we should ask staff to show the items in the menu, for example it didn’t mention pasta section. If they revise it, definitely 5 star review would be good for this restaurant.

Our table of three decided to start with the pear salad and share three mains: Mauna Loa pizza, Bulgogi Short Ribs and the Mushroom Tagliatelle. Food portions were perfect but the food itself was only good, not great. Would recommend as a good patio option if you're in the area but wouldn't go out of my way to eat here again.

It was my 30th birthday yesterday and our server Jazz made me feel so special!!!!! It was easy to book our reservation on open table + since our reservations were for 4:45pm we were reminded that we could catch happy hour!! We promptly orders drinks and appetizers- so delicious! My guests and I were so impressed with the quality of food, the service and the atmosphere (the decor, lighting and bathrooms were so clean). I didn’t even know you can see inside the kitchen (depending where you sit) it was clean and organized!!! Huge wood fire oven for the pizza! Jazz was so friendly and tentative to our needs! She helped us navigate the menu, ensured our waters were always filled, and our plates were always replaced (between meals- as we did family style) Since it was my birthday I received a complimentary dessert, my BF who was a chef raved the authenticity of the tiramisu !!! It’s a must get item when you visit!! A great big thank you to Jazz + rest of the staff for making my day so special! (It’s very obviously how well the entire staff works together! A great sign of good management!!) Will be back again xo

Just had dinner here few ours ago with my family. We were wowed how they handle their customers. From the time you entered the restaurant someone will acknowledge you and brings you to your seats. Staffs are all so nice and approachable. No wonder they have a good customer service here because they have the best GM. I want to say thank you for the great dining experience. We were family of three and we were taken good care. Our orders came on perfect time. All fresh and I can truly say their foods are amazing! Their wooden pizzas are the best! My daughter who is petite just left one slice of Margherita Pizza. She really loved it! She said it was like the pizza we ate in Italy 🇮🇹 few months ago when we were on vacation. Another excellent pizza which I forgot the name was the pizza with pistachios and honey. A unique pizza! Never tried anything similar like this before and never regretted to try this. Another excellent choice was the wagyu meat ball with curry sauce. We also had Mushroom Pappardelle, fried calamari and Brussels sprouts. For desserts, we had tiramisu, scoop of ice cream ( mango and strawberry flavor), Panna cotta and vanilla latte. OMG, Panna cotta and tiramisu were also winners! I love the presentation! It's a fine dining way! Instagrammable! Salute to those in the kitchen who works so diligently in making all foods palatable. We were all satisfied! Whenever food is brought in to our table, staff will tell us about the menu giving us a brief what's in it making sure we are not allergic to anything on it. It's so good to see and make customers feel that they are really welcome in the place, makes you feel comfortable and making sure you will have the best experience. I think one of the guy who always comes to our table is one of the Managers there too. Always checking on us about the food we ordered and if we need anything else. Over all, 100% highly recommended this restaurant. We will come back again for sure. Ambiance is really good. I like the internal decorations. The patio is open too so you have options where you want to sit. Keep it up Good Son, Don Mills! You guys are amazing! I am looking forward to try your brunch menu on weekend.

Food: 4 Stars Service: 3 Stars Ambience: 3 Stars Value: 3 Stars Overall: 3.25 Stars I recently visited The Good Son for lunch and had a pretty good experience overall. We decided to try the MAUNA LOA pizza, and it was absolutely delicious. The combination of pineapple and ham was perfect, proving once again that pineapple does belong on pizza! We also ordered the SPICY BRUSSEL SPROUTS [VGN]. They were a bit burnt, but despite that, they had a great flavour. It was an enjoyable meal for two. The service was decent. The staff were quick to respond and attentive to our needs, which made the dining experience pleasant. However, the indoor decor was not to my taste—it felt a bit too old and dated. On the other hand, the outdoor seating was much more inviting, especially in the cool summer weather. It provided a lovely atmosphere to enjoy our meal. Overall, The Good Son is a solid choice for lunch with its tasty food and decent service. If you visit, I highly recommend sitting outside if the weather permits. It made our lunch much more enjoyable. I'll definitely consider coming back to try more dishes. kellychan360
