The Friendly Greek Mediterranean Grill

It looked like a small place but there was more space at the back. We ordered chicken souvlaki and salmon. I find that the food a little bland but it was well cooked and our server was nice and friendly. I asked how much to change the greek salad to garden salad and our server said just a couple of dollars. When the bill came, they charged us a full order of garden salad. The washroom cleanliness fell a little lower than my expectations but maybe because it’s an old place.

I ate outside to enjoy the sunny day with my dog. It was Saturday and I arrived around 3:30pm and the place was not busy, but after 4pm a huge grupo arrived, and for my surprise the service continued good. The waiter looked very experient, and he was kind and attentive. The food was tasty, very good portion and price.

Some of the best Greek food I’ve had. Chicken was flavourful, juicy and perfectly cut. Potatoes and rice were great and the salad was beautiful and delicious. 10/10.

I end up here every couple years when I want great Calamari/Squid GRILLED as done on the Danforth. And this is more affordable option on the strip - while the food experience and service are top notch. The calamari grilled to perfection - that plate of fresh hot crisp-on-the-outside-soft-on-the-inside fries ❤️. But it was the salad. A Greek salad is crazy simple, but getting that oil/vinegar mix with the right amount of Feta - it’s hard to nail it and it was 10/10 🎯 Lovely patio. A perfect meal, served with care, still a great price.

I'm not sure if I have been to The Friendly Greek before, but it looked very familiar as I sat waiting for my late night takeout. I just grabbed a chicken souvlaki dinner as it's a basic. The food was quite good with a generous portion. The potatoes were slightly different than most Greek restaurants but tasty indeed. Overall, it is a nice family restaurant with pleasant servers and a warm atmosphere.

Such a great place for tasty food! Our experience was great, we had a real nice early evening outdoor patio dinner on a breezy summer evening. With the Greek music playing in the background, you felt like you've been taken away somewhere special! The food was awesome, the way the meat is slightly charred gives it such an authentic taste. What I enjoy here also is that you get your salad first, rather than it being included on the same dish with your meat and potatoes and rice etc... And the tzatziki sauce is really good here, a nice thick texture, I always finish mine too fast! Our server was amazing too! It makes all the difference and adds to the experience. Definitely will be returning here whenever I'm back in the area!

Visited the friendly Greek for an early dinner with the family and quite enjoyed the place. We had a variety of eats from the garlic shrimp, to the baklava. The food is decent. The garlic shrimp was well seasoned and cooked perfectly. The burger was just okay as it seems very much like a frozen burger. Fries were okay too. However the grilled squid, tzatziki and baklava were quite good. I think I will stick closer to Greek dishes like the souvlaki next time as I'm sure it'll be better. Overall a nice family restaurant that is a good spot for a nice meal.
