The District Tapas+Bar

Attentive service and explanation of the menu. We were 4 in our group. Server suggested 2 to 4 plates per person. We ordered 8 plates (2 per person) and found We were all full hy the end. The food was superb and provided a multitude of flavours. Everyone agreed. We ordered some meat and some veg plates. No disappointments. A bit loud inside but I have been to worse establishments. Along with a carafe of sangria, our expectations were exceeded. Prices were reasonable for the quality and quantity. Overall, very good value. I posted some pictures but not of all our plates.

The food was very good. It did take a bit longer to come out. We only got the brunch menu, so we ordered from there. People next to us had the full menu (we realized it once they got their food)

A friend and I visited this place for brunch yesterday, arriving right when they opened. I chose the strawberries & cream French toast which is a seasonal dish. To my surprise, there were no strawberries or strawberry cream on top (which was mentioned on the menu); instead, I found seven fresh raspberries (not mentioned on the menu) tucked between the first two bread slices, which I had expected to be a sauce. The lemon ricotta layered between the bottom two slices was so strong that it completely dominated the flavor. My friend ordered the gingerbread pancakes (seasonal dish), but she felt they lacked the gingerbread taste. She also had the lemon ricotta layered between her pancakes, which she found to be an odd combination and too overpowering. It's disappointing since we were hoping for a unique breakfast experience, but it didn't meet our expectations, and I doubt we'll be back.

We stopped in for cocktails on a Friday night. We loved the vibe and the various drinks we ordered. The owner, Hos, was so welcoming and Tash made unique and delicious cocktails. My husband really enjoyed the Ready Fire Aim and I loved the Once Upon A Time in Hollywood and Kator Passion 👌🏼 We are looking forward to returning to try the tapas and even more cocktails! ❤️

Before an Icedogs game, we decided to choose here for dinner and a drink. At first, I wasn't sure, but once our food came I was absolutely sure. I had a stroganoff poutine and a drink called Pear pressure. I was very pleased with the taste of the poutine as i really like mushrooms and there was mushrooms a plenty in my dish. My drink had flowers in it. Yes that's right, flowers. The service was good with timely visits from the young lady that was our server. When the dish was brought to us I honestly thought it would not be enough to fill my indulging food needs, but I found myself very satisfied with my portion. Thank you for making our dinner experience a wonderful one. We will definitely be back in the future to try out some more of the menu.

A few weeks ago, I was feeling down after a family member made a negative comment about my stomach. Instead of letting it bring me down, I decided to lift my spirits by ordering food from The District Taps Bar for the first time. I left a small note asking if they could include a little message to cheer me up—but with no pressure at all. To my surprise, when I opened the bag, I found a beautiful handwritten note that not only uplifted me but made me feel better in my own skin. That simple gesture meant so much and showed how much they genuinely care about their customers. Based on the kindness and words they shared, I’m looking forward to visiting in person and experiencing the full ambiance. Drinks for the staff on me next time! Thank you for going above and beyond and showing love to your community members. Moving forward, whenever I have guests or friends visiting, I’ll definitely be bringing them here for a great meal and experience!

This was not my first time at The District. We love the tapas and wanted to celebrate our birthday there. I don't know if they were short staffed but there only seemed to be 1 or 2 servers for the entire restaurant (inside and out) and we were a table of 8 alone. It took close to 20 min before our drink order was taken and then another 20-30min before our food order was taken. I ordered the flight.....but was charged individually on my bill. When we ordered our food, we ordered multiple dishes each, but they came out all over the place. We had one friend get all 4 of their orders and was finished one before another friend even had one dish. One of our dishes was sadly not good at all (no seasoning, bland) and we are not normally people to complain or send things back, however when we mentioned this to the server they didn't offer any compensation and were going to charge fully for the dish until I mentioned that I leave reviews. They did remove the dish from our bill, which we appreciated. The drinks were great, I highly recommend the coconut margarita. We've had great experiences previously, so maybe it was just an off night 🤷‍♀️

We went around 4pm, although the restaurant was fairly empty at the time, their service was amazing. The woman who served us was great, she was very outgoing and friendly. The cauliflower appetizer was the highlight of the meal. The drinks were great as well.
