The Chicken Place has always been mine and my husband’s favourite place to eat in Aurora! So we decided to get them to cater our wedding that we had this September. Our guests absolutely loved it! The food was (as always) positively delicious! The food came right on time, perfectly cooked/transported/ packaged and easy to serve! We are so thankful to have such a wonderful and delicious memory of our first dinner together as a married couple. Thank you so much to the very kind and talented staff at The Chicken Place Aurora. We highly recommend The Chicken Place for dinner or a catered event!

To start off, No one working at “The Chicken Place” is Portuguese… if you own a Portuguese restaurant I recommend that you hire Portuguese workers. Next, The potato’s were burned DO NOT BUY THE POTATOES! (Unless you like burnt potatoes). Also, The rice did not taste like Portuguese rice. Lastly, The meal was very expensive! 50$ for food that did not taste good. I would rather spend 50$ on fast food. Overall, I do not recommend this restaurant.

Yummy and filling chicken. Really liked their potatoes too. This was the first time I’ve tried them! My husband’s rice pilaf was delicious too. Will likely go for the spicier sauce next time as the medium was quite mild for my taste buds. Will return!

I mean, this place looks dated, but their chicken 🐓… oh man, definitely gotta try for anyone in the area. IF lucky, pick up the Portuguese egg tart, because they normally sold out.

I had the flatten chicken with rice and chickpea salad. The food was great. I chose the hot sauce for my chicken and it was just the right level of hot for me. All in all was a great lunch.

A pretty solid place for lunch takeout, I recommend the chicken sandwiches. Please be advised that the sandwiches can get very messy, very quickly. It will for sure drip all the juices of the chicken/oil/sauce and WILL stain. This place gets busy around lunchtime. So be sure to call 10-15 min ahead of arrival to preorder. Due to the size of the location, you can often see boxes of inventory laying around the front area. It makes the restaurant feel smaller and cluttered. At the moment it doesn’t feel like you can eat inside the restaurant, they have a stand up bar style table which faces the windows. I got the chicken sandwich which was juicy and dripping, flavour is great and texture as well! I feel like the peri peri sauce should be included with the sandwich on the side.

The chicken place is not a table service restaurant. They have about 10-15 stools against the walls. They were pretty busy doing takeout orders. I ordered the 2 whole chicken family meal with 4 sides - fries, rice, vegetables, potatoes. Everything was fresh and tasty. It was great that the rice and vegetables were seasoned. Huge amount of fries. Definitely enough to feed 6 of us. Will be back.
