The Carbon Bar

We came here on our first night in Toronto and it set the tone for the food scene! We went all in with only meat options and we did not regret it! Big portions (perfectly cooked and juicy), fast service and nice vibe. We would go back again if we had the time.

Been ordering take out for several years now, food has always been very good. Recently (especially tonite), the chicken pieces were the usual tasty but have gotten much smaller (1/2 size some pieces), and no pickles were included. Also ordered the side of beans and pulled pork, which the container was 3/4 full and the sauce was similar to an inexpensive can of beans. Bright side: fries still very good and the mustard sauce is 10x better than the previous one which was heavy on the vinegar. UPDATE: restaurant ownership was quick to respond and address our concerns. Very pleased and to hear from them so quickly and will definitely try again.

The restaurant is rather large with a small area by the bar offering more secluded tables. Its plain to fame are BBQ style dishes. I've been there twice within 7 months. The first time everything was great. Unfortunately, on the 2nd visit, the kitchen totally missed its timing, and as a result, some of the dishes arrived. Luke warm at best. Service was OK but a bit rushed. A rather disappointing 2nd visit

What a great dining experience! We were there to celebrate our anniversary and we had the experiences menu, everything was beyond delicious! The food came out at a good pace, each item was incredibly flavourful, each person dropping off food explained which items contained allergens. There was more than enough food, with plenty left for lunch next day. Our server Angela was amazing and treated us wonderfully. Highly recommend visiting Carbon Bar. 10/10 experience.

What an amazing time at Carbon Bar. I haven’t been back for several years so it was nice to come and enjoy a meal. I happen to be there with some friends who never been there before and we were there during their happy hour. We definitely made full use of that. Our server was absolutely amazing, she was friendly, knowledgeable, and we shared many laughs. This is the kind of server you wanna have every time you go out to eat. The food was spectacular! we tried several items from the happy hour menu and then one item from the regular menu. My friends who were with me who had never been there before were just amazed at everything that we had. The food tasted amazing. We are obsessed with all the sauces that we tried. The drinks were fantastic! Everything was literally 100% perfect we all already planning to come back soon. I highly recommend eating here and trying everything on their menu.

It was a little slow to get in but once we sat, it was a very nice experience. The "pitcher" of Old Fashioned was great to share with the table and all the food was very delicious. Salmon tartar came with some tempura nori which was a nice twist over regular crackers. The ribeye was slightly overcooked but still tender and juicy though if two people at your table are getting one one side of green peppercorn sauce is more than of enough for 2-3 steaks. We were far too full for dessert but I'm sure that would have been delicious too.

The food and drinks blew me away and the service was exceptional. For starters, I have had a string of disappointing cauliflower-related orders in recent times so I was a bit nervous when the server recommended the KFC. It was perfectly crunchy on the outside and with just enough heat that even my parents would enjoy it (and that's saying something). The brisket melted in my mouth. The coleslaw is a deceptively large portion and the fries? Amazing. They must cook the fries in lard or peanut oil because they were exceptionally flavourful and brown. Unfortunately I never got a picture of the derby pie before it disappeared. It was fantastically nutty and soft. The chantilly cream on the side was a wonderful pairing and if you take a bit of the cream with each bite of pie, you'll finish both at the same time. It was the perfect amount. I also can't remember the last time I scraped a plate clean because I wanted the taste to last a little longer. I am not much of a drinker but the Electric Island was sweet and not as tart as I thought it would be. It was incredibly smooth and presented nicely. I also ordered the Black Mamba Margarita and I was a bit worried that it would be too strong for my tastes but it was equally as delicious. All in all, it was an incredible dinner to end my trip on. A lot of thought and care went into the menu. Additionally, they made sure that I got out of there with time to spare for the game.

Great atmosphere very laid back w/music; sports bar kinna vibe😁. Ribs were very good (shared half rack which was plenty). Mac n cheese all cheese no white sauce just how I like it….only had beers and Disaronno w/cranberry so can’t rate the cocktails.
