My family went to Captain’s Boil and ordered the Mates Package for $70. Unfortunately, we found a piece of hair in the food. When we brought it to their attention, they only offered a $15 discount off the total bill. Very disappointed and honestly unhappy, didn’t feel like eating the food or finishing it.

We had a great time dining at Captains Boil Vaughan location The place was clean and the food was delicious and great! We tried their newest sauce, which was the coconut curry sauce and it was delicious. It paired with the seafood boil really well Upon entering, we were greeted by our waiter Hirbod and he was very friendly and helped us with recommendations and what to order We had a great experience. Our food came out fast and everything looked delicious. Will definitely be back! Thank you

To note: the restaurant offered free ice cream in exchange for a google review. While I appreciate this (especially as an avid reviewer), it does suggest that some reviews might be a product of a quick click for free desert rather than an honest and thought-out review. Service was quite mediocre. The server explained how the menu worked but didn’t smile, didn’t look like she wanted to be there, didn’t give great service, and acted like we were ruining her day by being there. She never offered more water or asked if we needed anything. The food was good. The captains boil sauce was uneventful but the garlic was good. Portions were great and we ended up with food for lunch the next day. The calamari was great. Restaurant was clean and well decorated. There were a few flies but nothing substantial. If you haven’t been here: you are given your “boil” in a bag and gloves to eat with as it can get quite messy.

Vaughan location: Food wasn't up to par. We ordered their sizzling plate for $15.99 b4 tax, and it came out cold. We were given warm water to drink with one cup of ice to share with 5 people. The server didn't even have the customer service, and you could tell he was just there for his pay cheque. He didn't care to engage with helping us to understand the menu. He just kept asking if we want to order. They were playing explicit music (like a Spotify playlist). I had in my party a 7 year old and a 4 year old. The atmosphere was very dirty, and there were flies everywhere, especially on the booth chairs. The booth chairs smelled and we're dirty with stains from food. We literally just packed up and left at this point. Would rate it a 0 if I could. I DO NOT recommend this location at all.

We recently dined at Captain’s Boil and had the pleasure of enjoying the Captain’s Platter. This delicious spread includes shrimp, mussels, clams, snow crab legs, two corn on the cob, and a potato. Each component was perfectly cooked and bursting with flavor. We opted for the seafood boil sauce with medium heat, which added just the right amount of spice without overpowering the natural flavors of the seafood. Accompanied by two servings of white rice, the meal was not only satisfying but also perfectly balanced. The quality of the food was matched by the great service we received. The staff was attentive, friendly, and made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Overall, Captain’s Boil delivered a fantastic seafood boil experience. Highly recommend!

The inside is spacious with good decor and cleanliness. The Deep-fried Calamari was amazing! The batter was crunchy, and the calamari was juicy inside - totally beyond my expectations. The Shrimp Basket was good too. It was crunchy on the outside, but the batter was a bit thick. The Cajun fries were delicious as well. The lobster was meaty, with lots of tender, juicy meat under the shell. It was well-seasoned too. Service was good. The server seemed surprised when we poured the entire bag out on the table - I was surprised too, but it happened too fast to stop it lol. Sorry for the mess. Overall, it was a great experience. It would be even better if they offered some grilled options on the menu. Food (quality, creativity, consistency) - 3.5/5 Drinks (quality, variety) - NA/5 Ambience (interior design, cleanliness) - 4/5 Service (courtesy, knowledge, timeliness) - 4/5 Value (quality vs. price) - 3.5/5 OVERALL - 3.75

The attendants are very friendly and diligent. Overall the environment, the decoration and lighting are very nice. The place is spacious and cozy. The cubicles are semi enclosed. This offers privacy to the customers. A huge number of parking lots are available. No worries if one would dine in with many friends and family members. However, to justify its price ($18 after tax) the food needs improvements in the way that: 1. the food should be more hot in temperature; 2. clams with meat (not empty clams) should be served; 3. the flour of the fish should be crispy, though the fish meat is surprisingly smooth; and 4. the dish should be served with sizzling sound as suggested by its title.

We are not the first time in Captain's Boil. This is the perfect place to eat seafood; Vaughan's location is the best. Very spacious and clean. The staff is just great!! We are fans of scallops & calamari, shrimp in garlic sauce, so it was yummy!! Zucchini fries, unfortunately, I can't recommend it—too overcooked, very fatty. Overall, good place for seafood lovers. $140 spent on a family of 2.
