I had the pleasure of being served by Saul during my recent visit, and I was thoroughly impressed by his exceptional service. From the moment we were seated, Saul was attentive, professional, and friendly. He anticipated our needs effortlessly, ensuring our drinks were always topped up and our needs were met. What truly stood out was his positive attitude and warm and funny demeanor, which made the entire dining experience so enjoyable. It’s clear Saul takes pride in his work and goes above and beyond to ensure guests feel welcomed and cared for. I highly recommend requesting Saul if you’re dining here—you won’t be disappointed!

We ordered the Matey’s platter with mussels and headless shrimp in medium spice Captain’s Boil sauce, along with sausage, corn, potatoes, fried rice, and a shrimp basket. The seafood was fresh and flavorful (4/5), but the sides were underwhelming (2/5). The shrimp basket and fried rice were decent but not exceptional (3.5/5). The portions were generous—it was a good amount of food for my girlfriend and me, and we left with no room in our stomachs. Mind you, we’re both big eaters, so that says a lot! This platter could easily feed three people while still leaving room for dessert elsewhere (which is perfect since they don’t seem to offer dessert here). Pricing was reasonable for a seafood boil spot, considering the portions and the variability of seafood market prices. The quiet ambiance was nice, though service was slower as there was only one server, which is understandable. Overall Rating: 3.7/5. I’d come back for the mussels and shrimp but skip the sausage and corn.

We had a seafood boil of king crab legs, shrimp and crawfish. The king crab legs were the best thing we had, though everything was nice. Go for the captains special sauce, that’s the best. Second best is Cajun. I don’t recommend garlic butter sauce, just because the others are better. The calamari is a great starter, it had such a tasty black pepper coating and sauce. The server was lovely and attentive, she explained how to order. Great place for reasonably priced seafood, good for groups.

We came straight from the airport and surprised my friend with a party. We ordered the Pirate’s Feast, which can feed 4 to 5 people, and we were absolutely stuffed! We enjoyed the food so much. The servers were quick and very nice. Even though it was a busy night, the food arrived right on time. Captain’s Boil sauce Fire is fire 🔥

We were starving after we landed and decided to eat at this place. Once we were seated, we quickly chose what to eat. We didn’t mind that they were busy assisting other customers, but when they served our food, they threw the bags onto our table. We didn’t ask for much, yet they seemed grumpy the entire time. Three stars for the food because we didn’t expect the chicken was so bland.

We went for dinner last night around 6:30pm. One of the servers greeted us and sat us right away. Nikka was the one who took care of us during our visit, she was very friendly and amazing! We loved how she was suggestive selling some of the best ones on the menu as it was our first time here. Also, she made sure that she checked on us numerous times if we needed something else. Our orders came very fast and fresh. They were also generous with the sauce btw. Overall, food and service were super great, my family loved it so we'll definitely come back!! :)

I strongly caution anyone who contemplates on eating here. There is a reason why this place is only serving 2 tables at 7pm on a Saturday night. We ordered take out. 1 lb of shrimp, 1 lb of muscles, fried rice, a few corns and 2 bowls of steam rice. I pick up more and head home. When we open the bag, we see 4 shrimps and a few prices of muscles. We were absolutely shocked. We pull out our scale and the weight of both bags were 0.69 lbs and 0.74 lbs. I get cooking shrinks the seafood but both bags are also full of sauce which bought weighed 0.53 lbs. You can do the math on the actual weight of the seafood. The seafood also tasted as though it sat in their fridge for days. They forgot our two bowls of rice. We called within 30 mins after picking up our order. The lady who picks up the phone agreed that the bags did feel a bit light when she picked them up from the kitchen. She also said the Manager wasn't in and that she would get him to call the next day. Unfortunately, no call. We follow up twice within the week. Still no call. We totally forgot about this and follow up again 2 weeks later and finally get a phone call back. The Manager accuses me of being the person "on the way to Montreal trying to scam the restaurant". Totally random - I offer to show him my credit card statement to prove I was in Toronto the next day. He then says I should've called right after I picked up my order. I offer to show him my phone bill history that I did. And that I called the restaurant 4 times!!! In a coy way he then apologized after realizing such accusations weren't true and offered a free pound of shrimp. Absolutely brutal customer service and absolutely brutal food. The Manager was clearly bitter after calling him out with proof that everything he said was completely false. The restaurant industry is tough, but if you’re clearly caught in the midst of a mistake, own it and make it right to the customer. If you intend on eating here, make sure you bring a scale so you know you aren't getting scammed. I have money on the fact this place won't be around in 2 years

This was our first time at The Captain’s Boil, and we had an excellent experience! We ordered the mixed seafood boil with the house sauce, along with fried rice, Cajun fries, and bacon-wrapped scallops. The food was absolutely delicious—everything was perfectly cooked and flavorful. The restaurant itself is kept cool inside, which added to the atmosphere, but it did make bundling up a bit tricky once we got our hands dirty. Be prepared—it can get quite messy since the mixed seafood is served in a bag. However, they provide gloves, so you get to dive in with your hands, which adds to the unique experience. A tip: wearing dark clothes might be a good idea to avoid any sauce mishaps. If you’re looking for great seafood and a different dining experience, you’ve found your spot at The Captain’s Boil. We’ll definitely be back!
