I found the portion sizes to be disappointingly small for the price. Additionally, the sauces provided were minimal, leaving the dishes feeling a bit incomplete and dry. Seafood, in my opinion, is best enjoyed with flavorful accompaniments, and I was hoping for a more generous serving of sauces to elevate the meal.

We went to Captain Boil last night, and we were really disappointed. Although the place was near empty, the service was very slow. It’s been a while since we were at this restaurant, but we were shocked at the small portions of food. There was a point in time when the bags of food they brought to the table were full, but now they are near empty. Half of a potato and crab legs or half of a potato and a lobster tail is $45 each. I don’t think it’s worth it. You literally get more food when you order chicken tenders with fries.

Food: average, not too bad. Portions are small & I didn’t know a side was 1/4 corn & the potato is half a potato. Service: horrendous. I sat down after my fiancée grabbed a booth. I probably waited 30 minutes before they even acknowledged me & said they’ll get back to us in a minute. Not even waters was served. More than a minute. Probably 15 minutes, she attended to us & placed our order. Yet we felt rushed to order & we had questions. Food came out pretty fast though. Also we ordered Sangria & they served us beer cups because “that’s all they had left” that’s just poor. That’s like serving wine in a tea cup. Atmosphere: is okay. Clean, spacious.

Was excited to have food ordered online for takeout/pick up for a birthday celebration. Was really surprised how tiny the serving portions were, what with price of each dish. The $24.00 clams with 2 sides was insanely so little (not shown as it is frustating to see it again), the $17.00 calamari was in a half takeout container, the $20.00 seafood fried rice is not served even full in a takeout box, ridiculously small portion, $18.00 shrimp basket is a joke. $9.00 Cajun fries in a small box, does not even taste good as before, $20.00 10 pc. chicken wings was the saving grace...tastes good as ever. Total amount of takeout was about $120.00 incl tax. Go somewhere else for your moneys worth. Stay away from this restaurant!!

First time trying Captain Boil and I really enjoyed it! We ordered the Matey’s feast. It came with fries+fried shrimp, big portion of fried rice, two bags of seafood (shrimp and clam), and a bag of vegetables. The seafood is fresh and the Captain Boil sauce is a bomb. It’s an amazing experience eating with hands. Will definitely come back!

Our server Shan-E was so sweet and attentive. She actively checked in on us to see if we needed anything and asked us if we were happy with the food, the spice level, etc. Her customer service was great. We would definitely go back. We ordered 2 headless shrimp boils and one regular. The kitchen accidentally gave us all headless shrimp instead, but it wasn't the server's fault, and she did ask us if it was fine before giving it to us. Ultimately, it's not an issue to me. The potato wasn't piping hot like I'm used to (it was cooled down in the center), so I will say food wise, the Scarborough location does better. I usually go to the Scarborough location, but this is the closest one to us now, so I figured we would give it a shot instead of driving so far. I do prefer the food quality & atmosphere in Scarborough for some reason, it feels bigger and they are much more busy but the customer service that we recieved here is enough for us to likely come back here instead. We know she would definitely do her best to resolve whatever issue we had if we brought it to her attention!

Never been and wasn't sure what to expect. You are supplied with bibs and gloves as it is a messy affair. I went as an anniversary dinner. I was over dressed. There is a lot of choice and a lot of food. But it's too much choice and needed help navigating the ordering process. Seafood (especially Lobster) isn't cheap but for what I got here I could have had a much nicer meal at another seafood restaurant. I don't think I will return.

First time visiting last night. The food was fresh, great tasting and good presentation, We ordered extra to take home. The service was excellent. Our server Shan-E was quick and friendly, went over the menu and how to use it , and our drink refills were frequently filled and never empty. She stopped and asked about our day and made the overall experience 5 stars. Because of our server and the taste of food, we will 100% be back.
