The Canadian Brewhouse (Barrie)

Went to the Canadian Brewhouse since it was recommended and the experience was generally pleasant. The atmosphere is pretty cool and it’s definitely got a great sports bar vibe with lots of TVs, a giant TV/scoreboard over the bar, and various paraphernalia (jerseys, photos, etc.). There is plenty of seating too and the serving staff when we went were very professional and polite and very helpful with the drink menus/drink choices. My main qualm was the food - the menu was pretty cool and quirky and so I was excited to see what the food tasted like. The food came quickly and was hot but the taste was mediocre. I ordered the Brisket Grilled Cheese since it seemed pretty interesting and was a little disappointed with how dry the meat was for a brisket and the sandwich was loaded with meat which is great but I probably would have preferred less meat with a better taste. Overall, the experience was decent and I’d go again - hopefully a different menu item is a better pick!

We ordered the Spicy Cucumber Caesar and The Daring Appeal. The drinks were refreshing. The caesar definitely had a kick to it and the daring appeal had notes of butterscotch candy. We also ordered the Beef Dip with Cactus Chips and Meatza Pizza. The Beef Dip was good. I liked the good amount of meat they put in the sandwich. The beef was tender and the buns were soft. They added horseradish too. The au jus needs some slight improvement. It was a bit too salty and the consistency was almost that of a watered down gravy made from a packet. The cactus chips were also salty but the creamy dill dip helped cut through the saltiness. The Meatza Pizza was delicious. The tomato sauce they used was different from the usual pizza sauces we’ve had. They also put a good amount of meat which makes the dish worth getting. We got a side of ranch and nacho cheese for dipping. The place had lots of seating and they had tv’s at every booth/table. Our server was pleasant and both the drinks and the food came pretty quick. Overall, we would come back and try their other drinks and food option.

This is my second time here. The service was slow. Waitress had too many tables. The chicken wings are overpriced @ $18 for 10 wings and they are small. Our wings were cold. Not even warm. We also had the salt and pepper crack ribs and they were very good. Beer was good.

My husband and I had a great Friday evening out here. The food was amazing. There was live music later in the evening which was great. The service was fantastic, even when it looked like every table was full our waitress still made sure we had everything we needed. The donut poutine was so good.Will for sure be visiting again.

I recently visited this sports bar, and it was absolutely amazing! The moment you walk in, the vibe hits you instantly. The decor and displays are perfectly in line with the theme, creating a lively and welcoming atmosphere. I also loved the branding – they really paid attention to the little details, which made the experience even more enjoyable. The staff was super friendly, making us feel right at home. We ordered the buffalo chicken poutine and the brisket poutine, and both were delicious. The portion sizes were generous, leaving us completely satisfied. Overall, I loved this place and would definitely go back whenever I’m in the area!

Last night was our first experience at the Canadian Brewhouse. What a unique venue. It seemed like there are hundreds of TVs broadcasting all kinds of sports. The menu is extensive. We had the Canadian Burger and the Pokey Tuna Bowl. Both were delicious! Our server, Ryenne was absolutely delightful. She has such a nice way about her. She was very engaging and accommodating. Next time we are in Barrie we will definitely be back to this brew pub!

My husband and i are huge fans of Canadian brewhouse's pasta. Alfredo chicken pasta is the best we've ever had. It's only available on thursday. Natasha welcomed and recognized us. She's really kind and friendly. I strongly recommend this place.

However we had tried the Canadian Brewhouse for the first time 6 month ago in the winter (that is why we visited again), our second experience was more than disappointing. I would like to point out that the quality of the food is unquestionable. They have a lot of gluten-free option, which means gf buns, pastas, sauces. I'm not sure that they would prepare the food separately. You have to check it with the place in advance! The ambience is marvellous, cozy, especially the roof patio. But one thing was so embarassing: customer service. We had booked our table for 6:45 pm, we got our seat on the roof earier in the corner for 2 what is nice. Our table was as it is: dirty, no drink menu. We kindly ask the waitress to clean it, but she did not like to do that and she barely did. Than we discussed our menu in 10 minutes cause we were hungry and ready to eat. We have waited 20 minutes for the 'what would you like to drink' question! We still did not get the drink menu! After we ordered everything, an addtitional 30 minutes for 2 little burger!🤦‍♀️ The food was excellent, my coctail was less but the experience made everything little bit bitter. At least our server was nice, a person with attention to details. Recommend the place for sure with a questionmark.
