Decent place to eat. Not an overwhelming dining experience but what they make they do a good job on. Cold in winter especially downstairs. Like really 🥶. Great staff and overall decent vibe. Definitely a staple of this region of Toronto and well loved by locals.

Food was good but nothing extraordinary. The steak was a bit chewy. But the restaurant allowed our dog to sit with us on the patio and the overall vibes and the service was excellent! Lots of locals and regulars.

Came for the Thanksgiving turkey special. The turkey was phenomenal, juicy, with terrific gravy and sides. The mashed potatoes were among the tastiest I'd eaten in Toronto. It is always a joy to discover fantastic new restaurants outside of one's neighbourhood.

The Blake House – A Weekly Must for Comfort, Quality, and Great Service! I’ve been coming to The Blake House weekly after work, and it’s become my go-to spot for several reasons. The cozy, historic atmosphere is perfect for unwinding, especially in the winter with the fireplace creating the perfect cozy vibe. In the summer, their spacious patio is ideal for enjoying a relaxing evening outdoors. The menu never disappoints! I frequently order their Chicken Pot Pie, which is the ultimate comfort food, or their steak sandwich, club sandwich, and fish and chips—all consistently delicious. They also have fantastic weekly specials that keep things fresh and exciting. The service is top-notch, and Jamie, our regular server, is a big reason we return so often. He’s efficient, friendly, and goes above and beyond every time we visit—seriously, the world doesn’t deserve Jamie! The owners, three brothers, are always around and interacting with guests, making the experience feel personal and welcoming. It’s great to support a family-owned business where you truly feel valued as a customer. Reasonable prices and generous portions are the cherry on top, and no matter how often we come, the food and service are always consistent. If you’re looking for a place that combines quality, warmth, and great value, The Blake House is it!

This spot has a nice patio for the summer. We went as a group of Co workers from the office. This is the second time we went and both times the food missed the mark for me. This time I got the greek chicken tatziki tacos which were okay but not satisfying. I also got a side order of fries which cost $8 but was mainly just small pieces and crumbs of the potatoes and not full fries. I regret ordering that. Server was friendly and efficient. I have determined that the food this place offers is not meant for my taste choices, so I will not be returning but would recommend it to people who want to try some mild flavours.

Everything is delicious. Here my Grilled chicken, melted brie w/ homemade pesto, roasted veg wrap w/ skin on fries. So good! Great patio. Fully covered from rain or partially covered w umbrellas & tall trees. Love it here. Can chill one on one or large crowd. :)

It has a really nice patio and a really nice decor. The food is just OK but I think it is a little overpriced for the quality of the food and the location. It shows that the food is made in house but it’s just ok. I think there are better options on church street. The chicken pot pie is good but needs a side such as potato’s or fries.

Thank you for accommodating our group of 22 for dinner. We had a wonderful dinner in your private dining room and everyone really enjoyed the great food and attentive service! I highly recommend checking out the Blake House for upscale pub food in a lovely historic building.
