The staff was extremely nice. I honestly was truly disappointed due to the fact that I wasted 60 dollars and took one bite out of the pulled pork and shredded cheese I believe it was a little sandwich it was full of fat the cheese wasn't melted again cold, and the fried cheese rolls were half cold inside. It was not edible what so ever. It went straight to the garbage. Truly regret wasting my money . Once again the staff was fantastic but the food was a definite no for me.

Delicious, authentic experience with the added charm of being served from a Toronto food truck. I enjoyed the rumbera on a park bench—though I have to admit, keeping the cheese and sauce from spilling was a bit of a challenge, but that's on me, innit?

This review pertains to the food truck. Food was good, first time having this type of cuisine. Service on the other hand, somehow, a dozen or so people were served ahead of me after I placed my order. I'd recommend that you take a peak at your statements on what you are charged. There is no screen to review your order, nor do they provide receipts. I was charged for additional items that I did not order nor receive. Followed up with them directly and was told that they would look into it. Went without a reply on some sort of resolution. Shouldn't be a difficult case to figure out and recall as they were serving lunch at an office building for 2 hours and I had went up and asked what was going on, and where was my order. To which they stopped everything and asked me what I ordered and put it together right there and then. Unless this happens often...

The Arepa Republic is a true North York gem. The owner Luis greated us with a smile and explained the menu. We loved that his parents worked together. His mom in the kitchen preping the arepa dough and his father carefully crafting freshly squeezed juices. The food is top notch quality. I highly recommend this place for a quick bite. Fresh ingredients, generous portions and a killer hot sauce. They also have a food truck available for catering prívate events. Will definitely return. Thank you for having a true mom and pop Venezuelan restaurant in the area.

Simple and down to earth Venezuelan food. The owner was fantastic and explained all the different items to us. I'm guessing this is more of a takeout place but was very happy to see that they have a small indoor seating area and some picnic tables outside. Everything was delicious! We had: • PARRILLA MIXTA - Grilled beef tenderloin, grilled breast chicken, chorizo, yuca fries, arepitas, nata, and guasacaca • PATACONES FLYING PORKY - Pulled pork with pineapple chutney sauce, ham, grilled fresco cheese, lettuce, tomato and salsas • TEQUEÑOS - Venezuelan cheese sticks • Drinks - Papelón con Limón (lemonade with cane sugar), Chicha (Venezuelan rice drink), and Passion Fruit Juice (my fav). I don't live close by, but if I ever have a craving for Venezuelan food, I will definitely drive the distance for it!

Oh my the food it amazing! I did take out one week and this week in the restaurant. So friendly. I even bought some frozen food. I ate the food too fast so I didn’t take a picture. But here are the frozen meals.

A small spot for arepas and other South American food. Firstly, the servers were extremely friendly and explained to me very clearly the items that I would enjoy since I have dietary restrictions. So kudos the servers. However the Rumbera arepa I had did not meet my expectations. I was told it was pulled pork but I did not find it to be pulled pork as you can see in the image. The cheese that was added was still cold and felt like it was store bought. It would have been better if they grilled the arepa for some time so that the cheese would melt. I am glad the server packed some chilli oil because that did help with the flavour. Finally, the arepa you see in the image attached was >$18 (after tax) which I think is a bit overpriced. Fantastic staff and service but the food and pricing should be looked at in a little more detail.

Only a few highchairs and 2 small tables for dine in, so best to mentally prepare for take out, especially during the lunch rush.
