If you live in Roncy, this is a restaurant you definitely shouldn't miss. Even if you're coming from a bit farther away, I think you'll have a wonderful and delicious experience. While there are plenty of Michelin-starred and highly ranked restaurants, as well as other great spots, this one stands out for being really creative with vegetables and spices at such a reasonable price. I love how every dish pushes the boundaries to improve, rather than keeping the status quo. The menu changes with the seasons, so it's always fun to try something new. It's no surprise they've earned consecutive Bib Gourmand awards. Among casual dining options, this is an absolute must-try!

I went yesterday to the Sunday brunch, I ventured to go without a reservation and since I arrived the service was impeccable. There was never a time when it wasn’t packed, but this didn’t stop all the staff from being friendly and very attentive. The food portions are big and the taste us delicious- it was worth waiting those 2hrs, I will definitely be back. In the pictures you can see French toast, Huevos rancheros and Duck Confit & king oyster mushroom toast.

Went with my parents for a Sunday brunch with reservation, they were able to accommodate me, (the child they decided to bring last minute) and we very kind! We were served by Simon, a very hospitable host and server, and even gave us tips about what to do around Roncesvalles, as we are from out of time. It was my first time having duck confit before and it is one of the best meals ever. The prices were also great! Especially for its quality. It was no more than any other breakfast place, that wouldn't have the service, taste, and atmosphere (very homey yet elegant) as The Ace

If you are visiting Toronto, passing by Toronto or living in Toronto… any way you got the idea 😅 VISIT THIS PLACE !! I really don’t give 5 stars easily as I am a foodie myself and love cooking. Also I had the chance to go to many restaurants and many times I am disappointed either by the food, the service or the atmosphere. So it is quite hard to find a place where everything is top notch ! This place was really perfect! We didn’t have a reservation before arriving but we were willing to take the risk. Once at the restaurant we told the host that we didn’t have a reservation and we are ok with the bar if they have a seat for us. They ended offering us a table. The place is kind of tiny and vintage but the vibe is great ! We ordered the Ace Benny and the Chef’s special omelette with and extra French toast. What can I say ? Everything was delicious and well balanced. A extra bonus to the barista for the Cortado coffee ! It was excellent I had to order two coffees. Trust me and go give it a try ! You will not regret it !

Made a reservation 3 days in advance for a Sunday brunch for a party of 4 and was able to secure a table for around noon time. The ambience is cozy, warm, and inviting. I can definitely see this spot also being a great place for a casual yet homey spot for dinner. Food: I ordered an Aperol Spritz along with the Duck Confit and King Oyster Mushroom Toast and greens as my side. The Aperol Spritz was extremely watered down. On the other hand, the Toast was absolutely outstanding. The whipped ricotta and mushroom sauce, along with the duck, made for a perfect topping (or layer) on top of the toast and just below the eggs, which were soft poached to perfection. The flavours married beautifully, and despite the huge portion, I inhaled the whole dish. The side salad was a nice, refreshing change from the usual mixed greens – elevated, clean, and different. Service: Our server was some-what attentive, but I am always picking a bone when restaurants expect tips, yet we need to actively make an effort for service; we had to ask for our water bottle refilled twice, and our server never checked with us regarding our food once during the meal. Will be interested in going back to try their dinner menu.

Very good restaurant deserving of its Michelin Star. Pork Collar and Roasted Chicken are fantastic. Pork Collar has a perfect char throughout. The Roasted Chicken is so tender and is juicy. You can taste all the ingredients and how they complement one another. Staff are great and the cooks make your order with good care. Decent pricing and a great experience. Great evening atmosphere though very dark inside. Light music playing. Love to die in your style seating. Like the open kitchen where you can see the chefs at work. Clean restaurant and clean washrooms. No credit card surcharge. Must take a step to enter the facility. Older narrow restaurant. No large washroom. No kids menu seen. This area of Toronto can be difficult to find a parking spot. There is free parking, metered and timed parking everywhere. It's whether you can get a spot. One can likely inform staff of dietary restrictions. They do indicate items which contain nuts. No vegetarian options seen.

The Ace is truly one of the best places to go in Toronto. Tucked away in the cutest neighbourhood where you can stroll the local antique stores and mercantiles before or after your meal, you are immediately transported to a cozy, unique state of mind. The team is incredible. Cocktails are always A + Wine selections on point! Always. Great portions. Freshest farm to table ingredients. You can taste the love and care in each bite. The perfect date night spot or brunch with friends on the weekend. Can’t say enough about it! Have been coming for years. And will continue for years to come. Love love love. Can’t express it enough 💕

Sorry, but I have to leave a review, which I usually don't do. I was really disappointed by my experience. I've saved your restaurant on my list for a long time and have always wanted to try it, though it's a bit far from me. Today, I happened to be nearby and decided to walk in. First of all, the service was okay—nothing to complain about there. The problem was the food. I ordered from the fixed menu: tartar, burger, and truffle cake. The tartar was a bit too salty, but that wasn't a big issue. The burger, however, was the most disappointing. Both the bun and the fries were not fresh or were undercooked. The fries felt mushy, and the bun was hard to swallow. And you can see from the picture, all the fries are these small fingers that you need to use folk to eat. The only saving grace was that the burger itself was perfectly cooked. As for the dessert, maybe it's just personal preference, but the truffle cake was overwhelmingly strong and salty. I almost cried. I had high expectations and was really disappointed.
