Today is my first visit. Also the first time having Jollof rice. I will edit and give my impressions. Well, I don't have any comparison to make as this is the first time however, the rice is my kind of spicy and flavourful. I had mine with chicken and it was delicious and I think the price was reasonable. The setting is leaning more towards take out but, the interior is very clean and there is a TV with smooth music videos to up the ambience. The staff are unassuming, courteous and professional and will guide you to make a choice from the menu. I felt their demeanor and hospitality was genuine. Seems to be a great spot to pass through on the weekend or on the way home.

I feel like I was robbed. The food was the worst (no exaggeration) I've ever had at any restaurant. I paid $75 for what should have been no more than $45 at the absolute tops. I got my take out and went home and this is what I had... I ordered: Jolof rice with assorted meat Chicken pies Chicken? Or rooster leg Extra container of sauce on the side Deep fried donuts 2 drinks -The jambalaya rice I thought it was going to be filled with meat especially because it was $25 for it. Get this, it came with 3 chunks of meat. 1 tripe which was tougher to chew on than leather and 2 unknown pieces of meat that were dry. -Chicken pies were 95% dough with 5% filling (pictured). I was eating dry bread pretty much. -The legs were dry as well -Deep fried donuts were greasy but the best tasting thing off what I listed. -2 drinks were nothing special. Just tasted like 7up or sprite -extra container of sauce was meant for my plain rice at home and I did not even touch it. I was taught to never throw away food and I threw it out. The only good experience I had was with the lady serving me. She seemed nice. Unfortunately the nice lady can't save me from ever returning. With the 75$ i spent, i could have had 2-3 more items then what I got from anywhere else and way better tasting food.

I have many issues with this place. Firstly, they have a big giant menu and price list but give you a different price when it’s time to pay. You make your decision based off $21 you see on their bill board of a price list but end up paying $28.Make sure to ask the price before committing. Secondly the service was abysmal. But I have come to understand that about many African businesses so this isn’t particularly a concern for me THE FOOD- I had “Ofada” I will say it was okay in taste nothing memorable but my Husbands Egusi was a complete disaster. It had no taste and both food were cold. We dined in so the least you could do was microwave the food to be hot. I understand it was made several hours prior to our arrival but how do you just serve it like that. Overall would not recommend and would not be visiting again

Me and my friend came to day craving for Nigerian food, i ordered egusi soup with swallow ( bando) and extra fish and my friend got jollof rice with chicken and plantain on the side. The food was so good and the spice level was great. If you want spicy you have to ask them. The two ladies who were working there are all lovely and friendly. It might be bit pricey but it’s worth it. I love it and we will for sure come back. The photos is midway eating because we were excited and forget to take pics before touching the food but nevertheless amazing.

Temmy’s kitchen in Hamilton is highly NOT recommended. I got Egusi soup from them and it was ridiculously salty. I called back to give the owner the feedback and she said she had stepped out and when she got back to the restaurant she would check and call me back. I never got that call back not to even talk of an apology. I sent a message some days after and she did not respond. I highly do not recommend.

Sometimes when i visit someplace and I know I have to give a poor review, I feel badly. But I spent my money here and then realized that my money would have been better spent at Island Queens on Kenilworth. A friend suggested African food for dinner and I started to crave jollof rice. Well, when I looked at the menu the price was $15.95, with chicken. When I went to pay she charged me $20. I quickly looked at the menu and started to calculate the tax. It was then that she pointed out the small sign that prices were subject to change. I should have declined the food then and there but still thought I should give it a chance. Even though I noticed she didn't ring the sale into the cash register. Well, of the two pieces of chicken, one was all bone. The chicken was dry like guinea fowl. (Guinea fowl - an old chicken that needs a lot of cooking to make it edible) The rice was also dry.

Where do I start? the incredible food, the incredible service, the avalanche of flavor? This is my now go to place for comfort food, I feel incredible after eating here. You are really missing out if you don't try this restaurant. The plantains were awesome and the beef was tender. I have never had Turkey this good and the spices in the rice was perfect. 5 stars is not enough, they should have an option for 10. (Pro Tip get the Fanta in the glass bottle)
