Teddy's Restaurant & Deli

Teddy's in Oshawa is a gem with an extensive menu that offers something for everyone, plus amazing service. We ordered the sirloin burger with sides and the Reuben sandwich. The burger came with Caesar salad, fries, and corned beef and cabbage soup. The Caesar salad and fries were excellent—fresh and crispy. The soup was flavorful, albeit a touch salty, and the burger, while decent, lacked a bit of flavor. Their homemade gravy, though, was absolutely delicious and paired perfectly with fries. The Reuben sandwich was the real standout—absolutely 5 stars. The meat was tender, the rye bread incredibly fresh, and the coleslaw was perfectly balanced—not too tangy or sweet. And their coffee? It easily beats Tim Hortons and McDonald's. On top of the great food, the staff are fantastic—so friendly and helpful, making the experience even better. If I lived closer, Teddy's would be a weekly stop for its great food, variety, and welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommend checking it out.

I had the pleasure of enjoying an early Christmas dinner, and it was an absolute delight. The meal was exceptional—each dish prepared to perfection and served at the ideal temperature. The salad was fresh, complemented by the house dressing, and the free Pepsi refills were a nice touch. As part of the Turkey Tuesday special, I was treated to a slice of coconut cream pie, which was wonderfully rich with just the right hint of crunch. The ambiance of the restaurant matched the quality of the food. It was cozy and peaceful, with the gentle hum of dining activity providing a pleasant background noise, reminiscent of rain on a tin roof. The service was outstanding. From the warm welcome by the hostess to the attentive and friendly server, every detail was handled with care. No dish was left unattended for long, as the staff efficiently cleared plates without disrupting the experience. Their professionalism truly stood out. Overall, I had a wonderful dinner and an unforgettable experience. I highly recommend visiting and treating yourself to a meal here!

The best comfort feeling from the second you walk in the door until you walk out! This is the classic family diner feel you want with every meal you eat out! From the welcoming we received from the hostess to the greeting and service from both our waitress and the manager(talk about an eye for detail) we could not have received better service. The food was too die for felt like I was eating straight from grandmas kitchen! Me and my wife both had the succulent sirloin roast dinner and it was far larger than described and every bite was amazing! Also included with our meals was a good size portion of house salad as a starter and a dinner roll which I forgot to grab a photo of before diving in! The house salad had a homemade dressing and it was by far the best house dressing I’ve ever had! We were there on my wife’s birthday so received a slice of their fresh made that morning from scratch coconut cream pie on the house! The pie was again to die for perfect coconut custard topped with a great amount of whipped cream and toasted coconut! There is literally nothing I could possibly say that wasn’t perfect about teddys there is a reason they have been in business for 4 decades! Absolutely recommend this diner to anyone and everyone I can’t wait to go back!

I have been to Teddy's many times over the years. Surprised I've never left a review. Be prepared on a weekend or a weekday during the lunch rush to have a lineup to get in. Yes it's that good, and it's worth the wait. The line generally moves quick and you can choose from one of their many dishes. This time we opted for: BBQ Beef Melt with roast potatoes Clubhouse and coleslaw Pizza Burger with roast potatoes All of the portions were enormous. The open face pizza food was superb. The BBQ Beef Melt was loaded with meat on a fresh bun. We didn't get any pie this time but I'm a huge fan of the strawberry pie and my other half loves the coconut cream pie. It's 10/10.

We found this place by accident (no I didn't trip and fell into the restaurant lol) and we're so glad we did because apparently this place has been an Oshawa institution for over 4 decades. we absolutely love places like this because it is made to serve the community by people who love the community. You will be treated like family when you come here regardless of what walk of life you came from. You will leave full and with takeout because their portions are large and you will not leave poor because their prices are very reasonable. I will make every excuse I can to come here as often as I can and encourage everyone to do the same because we need to keep places like this open forever. I attempted the burger challenge and obviously failed because it's a massive portion. You should try it because the price itself is very reasonable for the amount of food you get and you're basically getting 2-3 meals.

I had an amazing dining experience at Teddy with my Son. Staff were inviting and friendly. Each dish was delightful. Presentation was nice. My son particularly enjoyed Strawberry Pie which was a great dessert. I highly recommend Teddy to anyone looking for a memorable meal.

Teddys was recommended by a local dealership and they were spot on! What a wonderful restaurant in the heart of Oshawa. Prices are reasonable and portions were plentiful. Many patrons around me were taking leftovers home. Very fast service from the time you arrive till you receive your check. Wait staff continually check on you to see if everything is alright. You was told but didn’t ask, they do not serve alcohol but cannot confirm. Highly recommend Teddy’s!
