We had a lovey family lunch here. We came prepared with our order written out because we wanted to try as much as we could. All the food was great! We shared all the dishes. Our favourites were the bison stir-fry (loved the birth syrup), pickerel dinner and the bannock was absolutely delicious. Coming from Australia it was my first time trying most of the dishes and I throughly enjoyed everything. Service was great and its a lovely relaxing atmosphere. Highly recommend. Thank you!

Had the Pickerel Dinner ($21), a little pricey for the portion, but worth the taste! Fish was a little thin, so it was the batter overpowering the flavour, but combined with the dipping sauce, it's phenomenal. The roasted bannock bread is really good, chewy and stuffed on the inside and crispy on the outside. The wild rice and veggie stir-fry is amazing! First time trying wild rice, and the combination of the crunchy fried wild rice, salty mixed veggies, and subtle pumpkin puree is absolutely delicious. (4.5 / 5) Service was quite slow, had to wait ~30 mins.

Eating here was an interesting experience! This was my first time trying Native American cuisine and I quite liked it. [P.S. we waited for OVER 30 MINUTES for the food. Based on other reviews, long cook-times seem to be common so get ready to wait] They gave us free salted popcorn to start! I ordered the Salmon Burger ($12): (3.8/5) Smaller than I expected but surprisingly really filling. The bun (used frybread bun) was VERY UNIQUE... heavy and dense, crispy on the outside, n crumbly but chewy on the inside (reminded me of biscuits!). The green-ish sauce was also really good! A bit hard to eat bcs it was a fat burger so I used fork+knife lol. Salmon was standard, coleslaw was great! Strawberry Juice ($4): (3/5) Used real, fresh strawberries, not too sweet n tasted good. HOWEVER I found it too diluted. It was a little too watery. Friend ordered the Pickerel Dinner ($21): (idk/5) I tried just a bit of this. The pan fried fish seemed more deep fried (coated w flour). A little bland n dry imo. THE WILD RICE WAS SO GOOD THO. It was sauteed with mushrooms n veg, LOVED the texture of the rice n the overall flavour! Overall, it was super interesting and fun to try, but the taste wasn't "amazing". (might just not be used to this kind of food tbh). I'd come back to try their samplers; all their other dishes seem really unique too.

When visiting Toronto this summer one of our top restaurant places to go was Tea N Bannock and we were not disappointed. We ordered a wide variety of dishes including 3 Sisters soup, fry bread, a salmon sandwich, a couple of Navajo tacos, some bear paws, and the wild blueberry crumble. All were excellent and we had no complaints from our teenager and pre-teen (who largely only eats chicken). All food came to us fresh and hot and the fry bread was a dream. We have had fry bread all over the U.S. and this was as good as any we've had. An extra thing to love about this restaurant is the small section that includes goods to buy. I bought 3 small bags of loose-leaf tea: Blue raspberry, wild strawberry, and Labrador. I've had all but the Labrador and they have been delicious. Don't miss this spot on your next visit to Toronto!

Lovely place. I'm no expert on indigenous cuisine, but if this is what it is all the time, sign me up for more! Got the: - Sampler Platter: The bison slider was juicy and not gamey at all. The salmon slider was thick and tasty. Bannock was nicely chewy. Bear claws were perfectly sweet to complement the savoury stuff in the platter. - Salmon Burger: Salmon had a nice smokiness to it wand was a good size. Bread was firm. Veggies were refreshing. - Blueberry Jam: Whoa this was good! Got a couple of jars to bring home since liked it so much. Prices are great for the portions you get. Service and kitchen are quick. Ambiance and vibe are calming. Will definitely be back for more.

Visiting the Toronto area & we wanted to try something we don't get to taste a lot back home. Bison steak was cooked perfectly & all the sides were delicious. The appetizers platter with the salmon sliders is a must try!

Phenomenal!! The best burger I've ever had. My friend and I ordered the bison burger and the bison stir fry and then split the two between us. We also had jasmine tea, fry bread and bannock for appetizers. Everything tasted so fresh and not processed at all. Perfectly seasoned and cooked just right. My friend ordered the blueberry crumble for dessert and was blown away by how awesome it was.

I highly recommend giving this restaurant a try. It’s a shame that we’re visiting from out of time so I won’t be able to come here more regularly. We rarely get the chance to eat indigenous cuisine and this place exceeded all expectation. Every bit of the sampler platter was delicious. Crowd favorites were the salmon slider and the baby bear claws. The bison stir-fry was more of a steak and we enjoyed it’s flavorful sear and tender slices. Honestly the sides almost outshone the main courses. The sautéed mushroom wild rice had great flavor and a great unique texture. The blueberry dumplings were a great finisher to the meal. The dumplings weren’t what I was expecting with the term “dumpling”, but matched what you’d find online if you looked up indigenous dumplings. Be warned that you will get an ungodly amount of delicious fry bread which may cause overeating.
