Taste of Madurai offers authentic South Indian flavors that truly stand out. We ordered Chicken Satti Sooru, Parotta, Kalaki, and mutton gravy—all were flavorful and satisfying. However, the service was a bit slow, and one of our orders was initially forgotten. While the staff eventually addressed it, the wait time could have been better managed. The restaurant is a bit small and can feel congested, which might not be ideal for those who prefer more spacious dining areas. That said, the food quality more than makes up for it. I highly recommend trying their Ellai Sooru during weekends—it’s a must-have! Just make sure to reserve in advance as walk-ins are rarely accommodated for this specialty. Overall, a great spot for authentic Tamil Nadu cuisine. Worth visiting if you’re in the area!

Customer service was very good. They suggested to call before ordering so the waiting time can be minimized. Food was good for the price we paid. I would go back again.

Tried Uzhunnu vadai : one of the best in Scarborough. Really good! Far better than Nilgiris. Kal dosa with Sambar and chutney is also nice, but not that great. Falt murukku tastes so yummy. Pricing is reasonable.

Taste of Madurai exceeded expectations with its authentic and flavorful offerings. The idly batter was fresh and made perfect, fluffy idlies at home. The chicken tandoori had a great balance of spices, with a smoky flavor that complemented the juicy, tender meat. The dosa was crispy and delicious, reminding me of a traditional South Indian breakfast. The daal vada was well-seasoned, crispy on the outside, and soft inside, making for a great snack. Overall, everything was fresh and tasty, capturing the true essence of Madurai's cuisine. Highly recommend for a taste of South Indian flavors!

Bought masala vadai, mutton Briyani and mutton chukka based on my friend’s suggestion. Mutton pieces are so hard that I couldn’t even bite. It’s definitely not goat. It’s lamb or something. Quantity is very generous but what’s the point if the quality of the food is very bad ? Masala vadai’s taste is so good!! Will definitely come back again and again for their vadai but not for their mutton items !!
