I enjoyed my visit to this wonderful place. I was wandering dark and rainy streets of Toronto on New Year's eve, being lonely, cold, and wet. But once I got inside the restaurant, I was treated with a whole complimentary pot of tasty Chinese tea, along with a huge portion of delicious food for an affordable price. I enjoyed this hospitality, felt so much better, and my evening was saved. Totally recommended!

This is one definitely of the more exceptional Chinese restaurants in the Chinatown area. I'm glad I settled on this one. I had the Satay Beef Fried Rice Noodles and found the flavour profile to be very exceptional. It's very rich in that flame-seared taste we all know and love from Wok cuisine. The service was also very prompt and welcoming, which left a warm impression. However, I was left with a somewhat mixed impression at the end. Seems the server did not appreciate zero tips. The proper response as a server would've been to respect my choice and keep his opinions to himself, regardless of courtesy. Everyone has their reasons. It's 2024 need I say more. But that's just a small quibble. I would definitely visit again, maybe tip this time, maybe not.

Hot and sour soup was tasty. Egg fried Rice didn't have enough ingredients. Soft fried crab should have more crabs for the money we pay

Follow @bredgyeats for more food reviews and posts! A great spot to get your fixings for a more traditional canto-style experience, with a relaxed atmosphere and familiar tastes. There are the classics that my family usually gets like the black bean beef noodles and seafood fried noodles, but I opted for something a little special this time. King mushrooms, scallops and pork neck meat are stir-fried together along with green peas carrots and celery, with a minimalistic seasoning. I especially loved their dish for its simple, savoury taste and the variety of textures you get, especially the tender crispness of the pork. We got: Seafood Fried Noodle 海鮮炒麵, 皇子菇帶子爽肉, Black Bean Stir Fried Beef Noodle 豉椒牛河

Late night Chinese restaurant. They are open till 4am in the morning! Their food is good. They are not halal but you will get plenty seafood options. I find their food quite reasonable. I tried their shrimp fried rice. It’s for two people and it cost only $6+. I also tried their sweet and sour fish fillet. Which I will say is a perfect go with fried rice. Their fried rice has good portion. But if you are looking for great taste, then it’s not one of them. In short, good portion of food and a reasonable price. Their service was good and friendly. They even serve free green tea. Recommended!

Ordered delivery from here. The portion size is decent but there is little to no meat or non-carbs in the dish. The dish was fried noodles with shrimp and barbecue pork which I saw maybe 2 pieces of each. Really disappointed.

This was my first time in Toronto in about 25 years and my wife and children’s first time. We immediately hiked over to Spadina to find the Chinatown and wandered around for about 30 minutes or so looking at all of the local eateries, finally settling on Taste of China Seafood Restaurant. It did not disappoint. We started with a fairly simple but tasty carrot and chicken broth. Not a whole lot to it, but it had a nice flavor. That would be the theme of the meal. My older son had a seafood noodle soup which again had not a lot of complexity to it but a lot of good, solid flavor. Similarly, my wonton soup was delicious despite “only” containing wontons, egg noodles and some greens. My younger son had an order of roast pork fried rice that was also pretty simple but had a lot of “wok hei” (IYKYK). His only criticism was that it could have had a little more egg in it. My wife and I split an order of shrimp with lobster sauce and an order of Singapore mei fun. Both were great, but the shrimp with lobster sauce was especially good. I LOVE LOVE LOVE shrimp with lobster sauce, but I mostly can only get the Chinese takeout version with the somewhat colorless sauce. This one had a rich, intensely savory deep brown sauce flavored by the soy beans and chunks of pork in it. It was much more similar to how one would make it at home, and I think this was definitely the best shrimp with lobster sauce I’ve had in a restaurant. The Singapore mei fun was good, but two thoughts from me: a tad too many bean sprouts and not as strong on the spice as I prefer. Still delicious, though! :) Overall it was a great meal for our first night in Toronto. We went in to the night sort of expecting an okay quick meal just to get something to eat on our first night and were pleasantly surprised and satisfied.

At first, we are kind of hesitant to dine here because of its low rating. Thankfully, we did not go with the rating. It's a gut feeling that brought us inside. The place is accommodating and inviting, and our server is very nice, pleasant, and helpful. We ordered dumplings (chicken), hot and sour soup, noodles with shrimp and shredded pork, snow peas stir fried with garlic butter and bbq duck. All are highly recommended! Very delicious! 😋
