The menu has a decent amount of choices without being overwhelming. We aren’t very hungry so we go with appetizers to go with sake. The clam is very fresh, no sand, and they come with bread to soak up all the wonderful juices. Grill saba is moist and flavourful. It’s very meaty too, good quality. The fried oyster is huge! $16 for 4 pcs sounds expensive but when I see the size of the oysters, I think it’s pretty fair. My personal guess is that they use Fanny bay, cause it’s creamy and large!

If I could give more stars I would. I discovered this spot earlier this year, and I’ve been back at least 5 times since. The food is delicious, the service is great and efficient. I love the rotational menu options and their brunch is a 10/10 every time. I definitely recommend checking them out!

The first time I wanted to try this restaurant, it was fully packed so I remembered to make reservation the second time around. There were lots of options and i settled for the dan dan udon and chicken karaage. The udon was ok and mild on the flavor. I had to add additional seasoning myself. My family also had a few other concerns on their dishes as well but the karaage was excellent. Service was great for me and the atmosphere is unique

We were a party of 8. Reservations recommended. I ordered the shrimp and waffles and karaage and a side of the house potatoes. My waffle was cooked a little too long. So it wasn't as soft as I would like it to be. They gave me 2 sauces..1) gravy and 2) butter..but I think with the syrup and butter it would've been a better combo. I asked for syrup later. They gave me a lot of shrimp heads which was interesting. Not a fan of crunching heads so I gave them to my brother. The shrimp was battered nice and crunchy though. You can substitute the shrimp with chicken but I found that not as flavourful. The Karaage was seasoned well. No complaints. We ordered a side of the home potatoes. It comes with spicy mayo which was tasty. (No pic) The service was alright. They did forget to give us knives for the waffle and our side order but quickly resolved it. The servers were really nice.

The dishes are incredibly delicious and exquisitely prepared, and the staff's attitude is excellent. The ambiance of the restaurant makes you feel like you're in Japan, with beautiful ukiyo-e paintings on the walls. It's quiet, clean, and the food is fantastic. I will definitely come back again.

A good option when you're in Japan town. The food surpasses the atmosphere, the service was also good. There's a bit of a wait for the food. Seems like there's a lineup in the kitchen. I wanted to try the quid quid ink pasta. I don't really see myself going back soon.

I've wanted to come here for a long time to try the famed Tampopo-style fluffy omurice. As far as I know, this is the only place in the GTA that makes it that way. I came around lunch time on a weekend and it was pretty busy. The patio outside is nice and shady, so it wasn't too bad waiting for the food. The servers are also incredibly nice and didn't cause a stink when we wanted to share the omurice (some places frown upon sharing single meals). When my omurice finally arrived, I excitedly cut into it. This is where I wish they gave us a sharper knife instead of a bread knife because it wasn't sharp enough to cut into the egg all the way through. I couldn't get a perfect slice and I felt the experience was slightly ruined by this. Nonetheless, I was still pleased with how (most of) the egg split open beautifully. The egg was perfectly cooked and it's probably the best omelette I've had tried. The rice was a little salty, but it had a nice beefy taste and bits of mushroom in it. I actually prefer this more than the authentic Japanese ketchup rice you'd usually get with omurice. I would have given this a perfect 5/5 if my egg had split perfectly. It's also pretty pricey for what it is, but I think it's worth for it for a truly unique dish (outside Japan, that is...).
