My whole life I've seen Tamales in movies and on TV, always wanted to try one. Came across this outdoor restaurant and realized now was my chance. IT WAS DELICIOUS. I now understand the media hype. I had the Red Chicken Tamale, it was nice and warm for my walk home. Super addictive, I'll be back again! Super reasonable pricing and yummy quality. 11/10.

We'd been meaning to try this place for a while, and finally got around to it... and wish we'd started going way sooner. We ordered a random assortment of tamales and empanadas with various fillings, and everything without exception was incredibly delicious. It was so different from the typical mediocre Mexican food we've come across elsewhere in Toronto. Friendly and efficient staff and very reasonable menu prices, located in a pretty cool little compound with several other street food stalls in nicely converted shipping containers. I can't recommend this place enough and will be back soon!

This is really a 6* review. I have been searching for the best Mexican food in Toronto, and I have finally found it. Already, having tamales on the menu was a rare find in itself and was the original reason I came to check this place out. I was told by a random bystander to try out the Pork Rinds (deep) Fried Empanada with Cheese and green sauce (aka Salsa Verde). That one dish is the best Mexican food I've had in the 2+ decades of being in Toronto and trying to find the best Mexican food. All the food is really good here as I've tried at least half of their menu now. I keep going back because my cravings tell me that I must have that one dish. I'm pretty sure I'm not the only one as there are days when I order the PR Fried Empanada and they're sold out. The first time it happened, she said that those sell out soonest. That tracks and makes perfect sense. It's f'n delicious. The dishes are filling. 2 empanadas is plenty of food for one person; 1 empanada is probably enough food for one person lol. While there is some outdoor seating, the tables are metal drums. The venue is a shipping container converted into a food stand within a small community of similar food stands. If you want to enjoy the meal at home, I recommend bringing an insulated bag or container for take-out and driving the food back home asap. But the freshest will always be, eating right there on the metal drums. Enjoy!

Finally got to check out this spot last night and was not disappointed. I had a salsa roja chicken tamal and it was DELICIOUS! I will definitely be back :)
