Takumi BBQ is a Japanese restaurant offering an "all you can eat" dining experience, featuring a range of options from grill-your-own meats to sushi and appetizers, designed to enhance your dining experience. Some friends recommended this restaurant to us for special occasions, prompting us to try it for a birthday celebration. The restaurant offered a diverse selection of meats, vegetables, and seafood. We opted to try a few dishes from the beef, chicken, pork, and lamb options. Additionally, there were several vegetarian selections available. The brisket and short ribs were particularly noteworthy. However, the sushi options were limited. The Takumi signature maki roll, which included apple, had a somewhat unconventional flavor profile that did not align with our expectations. The appetizer selection, on the other hand, was impressive. The culinary experience was enjoyable. Fresh meats were a highlight, although the bibimbap needed refinement, falling short of flavor expectations. A broader dessert selection would enhance the experience. Regrettably, the matcha dessert was underwhelming, with an overpowering matcha flavor, prompting a switch to ice cream. Attentive staff and frequent grill replacements were appreciated. Despite the restaurant's spaciousness, booth seating arrangements are somewhat cramped, and table sizes appear inadequate when ordering multiple dishes. Overall, the gastronomic experience was satisfying, featuring warm hospitality, a relaxing ambiance, and flavorful cuisine.

The Food was so good i forgot to take a single photo. The grill alone is much better than most japanese grill places. They use real solid metal grill and they are very consistent with changing them. The sushi included in the meals are SOOOOO good. I recommend to try them all. There’s a lot of extra sauces on the side to dip the grilled meat in. They use full chicken wings here rather than cut up ones. The beef was also amazing, they really know the right flavours. The portions were generous so we didn’t have to constantly order. This is the first time we went over our 2 hour allotted time, great atmosphere, even better food. Will come back and post pictures!

I went to Takumi a couple nights ago with a large party. The place was is a large building and it was packed. It's was my first time at a Asian BBQ restaurant but it was nice and cozy. You order any appetizer which are cooked. Then you order the protein which are given to you raw so it is cooked by you. I actually enjoyed it. The food was fresh and delicious. You can control how well cooked it is or how much seasoning you want, unless you get the marinade protein. Service was good. The only reason I am giving it a 4 is because sometimes you had to wait a bit for the plated to be cleared but it was a busy Saturday night so I'm sure that is the reason. Atmosphere was nice and comfy. It was warming, cozy, and enjoyable. I definitely recommend trying Japanese BBQ at least once! The food cooks quickly as it is thin or small pieces. The regular lamb was amazing and I also enjoyed the shrimp a lot. The chicken is also good! There are options for all types of people. Vegetarians can also enjoy this place as they offer veges to cook on the grill, vege sushi, and fruits. But honestly, if you want to 100% enjoy this restaurant, the meat and seafood are amazing and a must try.

Kana was an absolutely amazing waitress. She was always on top of our orders, filling water, etc. She was so helpful when it came to explaining the services, process, and even replacing the grill. Incredibly gracious and quick to fill our orders. This place is higher end in terms of quality and the service. Food is absolutely delicious and the marinate is perfect. Their spicy BBQ sauce is out of this world. Absolutely love everything about this place and would 100% come back here. 100/10. Enjoy the one single picture I managed to take because I was too busy enjoying the food instead.

This was first Japanese bbq experience. It was a birthday gift from my daughter. This restaurant has a calm peaceful atmosphere. The lovely Japanese ascetic and attentive customer care makes you feel like you’re the only party. Great experience!

Different! Mom and I went for my birthday. We felt awkward not having been there before. We know now what to do. Maybe a suggestion that staff give the guests a quick overview of what we need to do. Like how to turn on the grill. Hilarious 😂 Mom and I kept asking... what do we do? Food was delicious, and after asking and figuring it out, we really enjoyed our evening.

- Food options for me are too few for the price - Not a fan of the onion soup - Onion soup could’ve been better if it’s hot when served - Desserts too limited - Rib eye the best; i love their meats esp chicken breast & beef - Love their poke salad & sushi - Waiting time is way less on weekdays obviously - Staff members are very hospitable, always smiling & feels like they enjoy what they do 😊 Overall, i’d say experience was 75% good. 🙂
