Tahini’s

We are big Tahini fans, just not this location. We were so excited to see one open closer to us... but have been left disappointed 3 times. No more chances! Today we received food with black paint chips and what looks like green synthetic hair. Portions are not like other locations... all around just skip this location, we've had better experiences at the North Oshawa and North Whitby locations.

Very bad experience. Food tasted bad, gyro was horrible, chicken was dry, quantity was so little. I asked for extra tomatoes, extra pickles and they did not out anything extra as per my request. They did not have any containers for the hot sauce to be on the side, they did not have any knives so I can split my sandwich with my mother, did not have ketchup for the fries, no plates for dine in !!!! Will never go there again. Other locations are way better than this one

I’ve been a tahinis customer for a very long time and today when I came here for lunch,I don’t know if they just serve half filled large bowls. It’s half bowl that they gave me for 19$. I even asked them about the quantity before leaving and they said that’s what they serve. Such a waste of money. Never coming back here again. Everyone else who’s thinking to come to this branch. It’s better to drive 5 more minutes and go to a different branch and get value meal for the money you pay.

1st experience only to disappoint. Ordered 3 meals, asked to hold hot sauce onions and a few other items on a wrap only to find nothing was held. 2nd dish literally had one tomato even though I asked for more since it was a free topping. Order took extra long to prepare as well.

Went to this location last night. Ordered my food and I 100% put no tip in as I don’t tip until after I eat my food always. The price for my meal was around $19 but I noticed I was getting charged $23. When my food got served to me I asked for the receipt which took around 2 mins as the man wanted to print off a new receipt that said the $19 not the $23. I knew all along what they were doing as other stores close by warn be about how sketchy the 2 gentlemen working are. I asked and approached them and he said it was a tip. I said I didn’t give a tip and right away he gave me my money back. I won’t be coming back here as that is theft and will be reaching out to higher up in regards to this.

Food was amazing no doubt about that.. tried their jerk chicken rice bowl, gyro wrap and messy fries, everything was delicious, properly cooked. Ample space if you want to dine in, more than enough parking space outside. Only thing that needs improvement is indoor atmosphere/ambiance and the furniture; it's outdated and boring.

After having had a Tahini's experience at their Pickering location I was eager to have it again at their Oshawa location which recently opened. More or less the experience was the same but I do have to comment on how large and open the Oshawa location is. It's very nice and welcoming. The menu boards are easy to read even with a group full of people ahead of you. Today I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and decided on "old school" toppings and medium level of hot sauce. The food did not disappoint. I find the chicken to have a nice flavour and the flavours of the pickled vegetables really is evident when taking bites out of the wrap. It tastes fresh and delicious. I have to comment on the wrap itself. It is just a great bread product. Very tasty. Has a great crunch to it after spending a small amount of time getting toasted. It's definitely the deciding factor over why I'd choose dining at Tahini's over other similar food joints.

I decided to give Tahinis a shot on their grand opening day to take advantage of their 50% discount. They were busy! But they had an efficient system and the wait wasn’t too long after ordering. The atmosphere is nice if you choose to dine in. My food was flavourful and they provided a lot of chicken in my Butter Chicken Bowl. My personal opinion was that the chicken was a little too jiggly for me and lots of pieces with connective tissue, which took away from the overall enjoyment. However, the portion size is generous and the rice, toppings and sauce were flavourful. I would good back to try a different bowl with a different protein when I get the next protein & rice craving.
