Was here on a Friday mid afternoon. Came because we wanted something healthier than fast food, but something fairly fast as we've known Swiss Chalet to be. Took awhile to get orders taken. Took awhile to get our app. I quickly realized they seemed to be very short staffed. Not the servers fault. Service was as good as it could be. After waiting way too long we had to ask for our food to get packed to go as we had been waiting too long and I had to get to work, to which I was late. I left my house 2 hrs early for work and Swiss chalet was my first stop. Didn't get to eat my lunch, six hours later after-work the salad was tiny and wilted the chicken super dry. Really disappointing. The manage was walking around checking people but he could have had some plates in hand, delivered food or cashed out bills to more effectively help the server instead of just walking around asking people if they were OK.

I placed an order for the family feast festive special for pickup at 3:55pm. I went inside the store 5 minutes early to find the order sitting in an insulated bag. The online tracker is not accurate, it said the order was still being prepared. The order was supposed to have 4 packs of fries, I received 3 packs of fries and one pack of rice. Bread rolls were missing as well. The chicken was overcooked and dry. I have ordered Swiss Chalet many times and its never been this dry and overcooked. The festive special comes with Lindor chocolates and scratch tickets. I received the chocolates but not the scratch tickets. I called the store multiple times to have these issues resolved, no one picks up.

Had the opportunity to stop by this location for some food! I was serviced by Kaitlin at takeout and she was a joy. She truly took time to provide excellent service and regularly inform me on the update of my order. The food was hot and fresh which made the perfect meal for lunch! Will be back soon and hoping I have Kaitlin to greet me again:)

I am extremely disappointed with my recent experience at Swiss Chalet. My family of six arrived expecting a pleasant meal (it’s a rare and special occasion for our whole family to eat out together!) but instead endured one of the worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. Upon arrival, we waited for at least 10 minutes without even being acknowledged, despite multiple employees walking past us. When I finally asked someone if we should seat ourselves, she laughed and made excuses before apologetically leading us to a table (there were multiple empty tables but the restaurant was clearly understaffed for a Friday evening at Christmas time). We then stood awkwardly waiting for her to wipe it down. After being seated, it took over 30 minutes for the waitress to even acknowledge us and take our drink order. When she finally brought our waters (and forgot my toddler’s milk)—another 15 minutes later—she informed us that they were out of chicken tenders, which three of my kids had planned to order. By this point, we were too frustrated to enjoy the meal but stayed only because our four children were very hungry after waiting so long. The number of things that went wrong during the TWO HOURS that we were there would be comical if they weren’t so infuriating. She forgot to take my husband’s order, then later forgot his side. She dropped my daughter’s coleslaw on the floor, then left it there and went to get another one. She was gone for 10 mins, we saw her chatting with and hugging another customer, then finally came back and had forgotten my husband’s side and said that was the last coleslaw she dropped. She never topped up our drinks & waters and we had basically packed up to leave before she finally came to ask what the kids would like for their dessert. Then they were out of ingredients for the dessert. The lack of basic hospitality, slow service, and overall disorganization were absolutely unacceptable. She gave us the bill and we had to ask for some kind of compensation considering the whole terrible experience. She begrudgingly gave us a pathetic discount, despite the fact that we had been very patient and extended a ton of grace over the course of the meal. The only other family in our side of the dining room had also requested a discount as they dealt with the same horrendous customer service as us. Then to top it all off, we paid and the machine was out of receipt paper so she said it didn’t go through, she had to process the payment again. My poor toddler was half asleep in my husband’s arms, it was almost 10pm at this point! Swiss Chalet used to be a family favourite, but this visit has left us questioning if we’ll ever return. 1/5 stars, only because 0/5 isn’t an option.

Ordered for curbside pick up, and no one came out. Finally flagged down an employee, who said there was a problem with the app. Another man was waiting in his car beside me had the same issue. Got home, and there were barely any fries in the takeout boxes. And yet, the cost of the Festive Special is now $19.00+ per meal. This is not the first time we've had a bad experience at this location. The last time, half our order was missing.

We come once to twice a month with my father who is in a wheelchair and a home and he loves to get out for a nice hot meal. Always had a good meal and good service. Have had Lori a few times and she is so lovely. No matter how busy she is she’s very organized and so attentive and just in general a very kind lady. Your server makes you dinner when you’re out. Looking forward to coming back and hopefully have Lori again as our server.

Outstanding! I brought my friend here for lunch celebrating her birthday. From the moment we walked in the door, we were greeted with friendly staff. Our server Lori B. was so bubbly, friendly and truly cared for making our visit a pleasant one. The manager visited our table and we had a nice chat as well. There was sincerity in the conversations we had, not the scripted lines most restaurants have. The food was delicious, prepared to perfection by the staff in the kitchen. We will definitely visit this location again as we felt very much at home.

Golf Links , Ancaster :Pathetic chicken dark meat portion today on take out. Barely had any meat on it and ridiculously small let alone dried out. Even the fries were a half portion. Tried to call Golf Links location but they don’t pick up. Even tried to get thru to the restaurant thru their online order connection. No answer !!! Disgusting
