Visited the Salem and Taunton Swiss Chalet location in Ajax Ontario on Sep/16/2024 around 7.30 pm to make a use of the quarter chicken dinner coupons which was a compensation for a dine in issue at a different location a month ago. The cashier girl was supper friendly and very talkative. Took my order and she needed a manager override to complete the transaction. Manager ( Cynthia ) came and gave her the override and wanted to have the coupons, which was dropped in the drop box by the cashier. She took and went in. While I was waiting in the lobby for my order the Manager came out again and wanted to speak to me and started to shoot questions, like what is your name, phone number, where did you get this coupon and why did you get this coupon. She wrote my name and phone number on the coupon. She was making facial expressions during the conversation, that she did not believe with my replies. Even the cashier asked her why we need to find out all these. I was embarrassed and felt discomfort, this was in front of other customers. Is this Swiss Chalet’s policy to inquire clients with all those questions before accepting coupons? Very disappointed. Definitely she needs training and coaching in client service.

Maria was an amazing server. We needed to be in and out quickly, and she was so accommodating. Our food was brought out promptly, and she checked on us often to make sure everything was to our liking. She even gave us a sweet christmas card. Will definitely come back again, highly recommend.

Our party of 5 were well taken care of by our server Maria. She helped to put us in a Christmas spirit. The food and service were great. We will definitely come back to this restaurant.

Swiss Chalet has been a part of my family for a very long time in my childhood. You cannot beat the flavours of the rotisserie chicken and the golden fries. Today our server was Maria. She was kind, gentle and most of all funny. The service was perfect and the experience was amazing. At the end of our meal she brought us a hand written Christmas card, which I will attach in the photos. This was so special! Our visit was extra! Thank you Maria.

I wasn’t impressed by this location. They seemed to be understaffed. My family and I got there around 8, we had just missed the rush. The ambience was that of a fast food joint, cold and uninviting. We waited about ten minutes before someone noticed us. Our food was on the table in about 20 minutes, which is typical, I believe, but the food was barely warm and served in a small round plate. No large servings here, so we had to order dessert to feel satisfied, something we never do. Then the waitress brought me frozen coconut cream pie. Well, we paid our bill. There was no tip. I won’t go here again. We are on the hunt for the best location in the area. I’ll keep you posted!

Maria was an excellent and accommodating server! Always attentive, and detail oriented. We came for a birthday celebration, and Maria made sure that choosing Swiss Chalet for our celebration was the right choice! (Dec 27) We celebrated another birthday there today, and this time were served by Kaitlin. Again - excellent and attentive service that made us feel right at home, Kaitlin! Thank you to the staff at this Swiss Chalet for making it an easy choice as to where we should celebrate these important milestones for our combined family gathering!

Excellent service from Maria!!! We went on Nov. 10 around 3pm, and she delivered!!! Friendly and very attentive to customer's needs! Went above and beyond! Made my sister's birthday very special! Thank you!!!

Tammy, the server was very professional. She’s diligent on our orders. However, for some odd reason the chicken that was served today were so dry and overcooked. French fries seems undercooked and more on soggy side. My family always visit this location because of the service and quality of food but not today (12 noon, Oct 13, 2024)
