Sweet India

I'm from USA and visiting my Sister in Mississauga, Canada this week. I visited this restaurant hoping to enjoy some sweet treats, but I was sorely disappointed. I bought 2 boxes of sweets, 2 lbs and 1 lbs. The sweets were not only bad, but they were overwhelmingly sour, and not in a good way. It felt like they were too old. I won’t be returning, and I wouldn’t recommend this place if you’re looking for something sweet and enjoyable. Stay away if you value your taste buds!

Thali was good. Naan was fresh, butter chicken was sweet and salty, so it was good! The goat curry was too salty, and they didn’t give enough meat pieces. Chicken tikka curry was trash, wouldn’t get it again, too watery and not enough flavour. Veggies and paneer was good. Service is the main reason for the 2 stars. Bathroom downstairs had bodily fluids all over seat, and when we went to inform staff that the bathroom isn’t clean, they shrugged us off and said they don’t have staff, while the staff was just standing around… it wasn’t even that busy… So my family had to search the plaza for another place just to go to the bathroom.

Smells really good when you walk in the door. The food is a decent portion, flavour is 4/5. We had the Dal Makhni and Chicken Vindaloo, both kinda plain, but the pickled carrot and onion were quite nice. The Naans were good, perhaps could’ve been salted a touch more. The sweets, though, are delicious. 1/2 pound, the smallest of the boxes, was less than $6… you can’t beat that.

What are thos even! Not paneer for say. Wasnt edible. Was brown in colour. Had 1 or 2 paneer pieces which were actually paneer. Its health hazard. I am not returning. This place needs a visit from the officials and needs to be shut down. We left our food and walked out. We were not even paid heed to. Said its "paneer only". Not returning. Pic attached. It was a veg thali. We requested to know what exactly is the borwm thing ! Not getting anywhere near.

Hi all, I want to share my experience with sweet India Airport road location. Today, I went there to buy 2lb dhokla and 1lb gajrela. The Sweet was ok but Dhokla was mold. There was white fungus on top of maximum pieces. I called at the store to tell about the incident, one old person answered my call and said he cannot check all the things at store which one is good or bad and offer me free food next time. I was surprised he was not apologised at all. Wah they are playing with customers health, just for money. I bought this for my kids. Thank god I didn’t serve it. Please don’t go there if you want your family healthy. They don’t care about you.

My family has been visiting this restaurant for over 30 years, and it has only ever gotten better. The owner never fails to tend to our hunger needs! We drive 4 hours to come eat here and it genuinely feels like home. Their thali is the best way to go so you can get a taste of several different dishes. You can never go wrong with their Chole Bhature, they are a must have! We chose to not have breakfast at our hotel just so we could have sweet Indias fresh Aloo and Gobi parathas. I would recommend to anybody visiting Brampton or anywhere in the GTA.

05.06.2023 (Saturday): Came around 10:45 am with my mom here to try their Channa Bhatutra's served with 2 bhaturas and onion salad. Tasted great! Compared to other Bhatutra's i've eaten this was plesant and not as oily as Ive tried others in the past from other places. Cost was roughly 17 dollars. For 2 people I think thats a great deal! Restaraunts not as big and theirs limited parking so best to find a spot in the area and come at a time when its not as busy in the morning or late in the evening. A great morning brunch! 01.07.2023 (Saturday): Came in the evening and got some veggie samosas, and pan puri. Samosas were hot and tasted great. The Pan Puri was also just as great and me and my mom enjoyed it. The customer service was alright. Staff were overall friendly, but didn't really build any rapport with the customers. I think that's an area they can do better at, to try to communicate more with customers rather than communicating amongst themselves. Prices are reasonable as well. Overall not bad!
