The first Sushi Shop restaurant opened its doors in 2000 at the Atwater Market and since then, the Quebec chain has become a predecessor in the Asian cuisine. As soon as the customer walks through the door, they know they are about to have a memorable experience in one of our Japanese restaurants. Crispy Rolls, Poke Bowls, Sushi Tacos, Sushi Burrito, Sushi Pizza, Combos, Vegetarian options, Hosomaki, Nigiri, Sashimi, Maki and Sumomaki to name only a few. Really bad experience. Looked nothing like the pictures on the menu. Paid only $20 but never ever had lettuce and salmon sushi sliced so thing like this. The woman looked like she didn’t want to put effort in as I was the only customer. :(

Amazing service! We got the karage chicken and the teriyaki chicken roll. The karage chicken was fresh and crispy, and with the yin-yang sauce, it tasted so good! The sushi roll however was average—the chicken tasted less flavourful and dry, I personally wouldn’t get it again (as a sashimi lover). The worker was so kind, attentive, and fast!

I’d rate it zero stars if I could! We had a good poison after trying their BOGO Vancouver Maki ! Fish was stale! It’s ridiculous!

I have been going to the sushi shop but not so often. But I love going there! I didn’t know you can be so creative by making pizza, taco out of sushi! I ordered medium miso soup and black sugar yin Yang taro matcha green tea. And I also ordered salmon lover sushi combo. It was so good and very filling. I ordered spicy shrimp poke bowl. It was so good! I also tried their new sushi combo. I ordered shirmp lover combo. It was so good! And very filling. I would definitely order it again. They have good customer service. And the staff are very nice. The BEST sushi shop restaurant ever! Even though I do have a bubble tea addiction!

I always get take-out sushi from here; the prices are reasonable, the sushi, wasabi and ginger are fresh, menu items are creative if that’s your preference, and the food is always carefully prepared and presented. I have never eaten in the restaurant (which is small, verging on cozy), but the counter staff are invariably friendly and efficient. I’ve seen them be helpful in explaining the serving size of any unfamiliar items.

A small sushi shop which served dinning and take out food. Food quality was decently nice with interesting sushi designs. Overall was a nice experience but thought the presentation of my orders could of been better, had to move some around to make it look nicer... I had high hopes Everything would of looked the same as the menu.. considering the photos on the menu all looked great! Some photos were alittle misleading like the emperor roll, looks nothing like that. It actually comes separately not together.

Great place with some unique sushi rolls. Price is decent, but the place is small and there aren't too many spots to eat in. There's a huge selection of different things in the menu (sushi burrito, bowls, sushi taco, etc.).
