The first Sushi Shop restaurant opened its doors in 2000 at the Atwater Market and since then, the Quebec chain has become a predecessor in the Asian cuisine. As soon as the customer walks through the door, they know they are about to have a memorable experience in one of our Japanese restaurants. Crispy Rolls, Poke Bowls, Sushi Tacos, Sushi Burrito, Sushi Pizza, Combos, Vegetarian options, Hosomaki, Nigiri, Sashimi, Maki and Sumomaki to name only a few. Went for lunch. Was a Lunch bag letdown. Got Combo B w Miso Soup. Spent $20 for below average Maki - a small piece of shrimp and cucumber and “chefs choice” was a roll w just avocado. Miso wasn’t great either. Place is run down and dated. So meh food + meh place.

Grabbed a quick lunch, here. They have an extensive menu. As a vegetarian, their vegetarian sumomaki was fresh and well made. Satisfied meal. A bit slow in the service but understandable since only one employee was present and was attaining another customer.

Absolutely disgusting I purchased combo D which is 5 peices of spicy Shrimp and 6 peices of chefs choice for a total of 11 peices of sushi. To start the chef making the sushi was serving customers and processing transactions while using the same gloves to roll the sushi. The 6 peices of chefs choice were all just your basic avocado roll. The spicy Shrimp roll tasted very off I do not believe the Shrimp was fresh. Zero customer service would not recommend.

Great quality for value; they have many sushi rolls and nigiri. They also have party trays available. We stopped by and got lunch, and the rolls were done well. We also like that the food court at Shops on Yonge is clean, quiet, and comfortable to sit and eat at.

Below Average sushi that is waaay to expensive. 12 bucks for a Maki roll with almost nothing in it? Was gonna get a bowl of seawees salad and then found out a 100g bowl of it is 6 dollars!! Insane!

I'm sure the sushi quality is as expected but I was thoroughly displeased with the tonkotsu ramen. They charge $10+tax for a small bowl of quick noodles, [what I suspect is] broth mix, half a plain egg, and ONE SINGLE tempura shrimp. Pork isn't even an option. For the same price I can go to a ramen shop and get house made broth, a full egg, pork belly, and at least a couple more toppings. I wouldn't be complaining this hard if their pricing was just a couple bucks less.

“I have ordered take out several times now and the sushi has been consistently delicious and fresh. Worth to try their salmon poke bowl, you also can choice free miso soup or drink with it. Good place to go.

I have been to this sushi place for many times, and so far the experience has been really good. The services were friendly and quick, other than waiting in line when there are lots of people (like all good restaurants). My go to dish is usually Combo H. Maki roll, Avacado Roll and Nigiri. because price is reasonable and it taste good. I often will ask for extra wasabi as I like it with my Rolls and Nigiri. I also love the Salmon Taco. The crispy taco shell, refreshing lettuce and tender sashimi is really tasty and I will strongly recommend it. I will definitely always go back to this restaurant, as it is one my favourite food place. Quick, tasty, convenient and most of all healthy!
