Sushi Mountain

A party of 4 American friends stopped at this place after a long day at Thermea spa, hungry like wolves. We were so impressed with the quality, taste of the food in this place. I am a sushi lover and this was the best sushi I've tasted. I would honestly drive 5 hours from Pennsylvania only to eat at this place.

Lots of good food here. Didn't love how much mayo they put in the specialty rolls, but other than that the food was quite excellent.

Unfortunately a big let down for dinner yesterday. We haven’t been in a few years when it was amazing. The quality of the food has definitely diminished. We ordered 1 round only (limited amounts so we don’t waste food) and only at 75% of it as we both start feeling unwell. I told the waitress that we cannot finish the rest of the food since we were feeling unwell from the food, she went to the counter told the others and came back and said they need to charge us $5 for the food we didn’t eat. I told her we were feeling unwell from the food and that we barely ordered and ate anything because of this. She said it didn’t matter how much we ordered and that they have to charge us. I didn’t want to argue since feeling unwell and needed to get home asap. So just paid the $5 plus the $100 bill for the two of us. A gem in the past but not anymore. Unfortunately poor customer service when the food made us unwell and they still charged us.

Wow! So happy we tried out Sushi Mountain for AYCE lunch… sushi was delicious! I loved all the spicy crab items on the menu. Waiters/waitresses were good too. My only critiques is the restaurant is quite small and there is not much space to eat. Also found the menu to be somewhat limited. But food was amazing and I will definitely be back!

Decent all you can eat sushi place. They have a variety of food selection, including meat and fried items on top of sushi and sashimi. Service was really good. Overall, it is a decent place for the price if you are looking for an all you can eat sushi near whitby.

🚻 washrooms unavailable unless it's in the kitchen area? For a birthday celebration, I chose Sushi Mountain, drawn to the restaurant's appealing ambiance that exuded a pleasant dining atmosphere. However, our seating arrangement in the back, at a somewhat cramped table for two, diminished the overall enjoyment. I even had to resort to using the vent behind me to manage plates and other items, as did the couple seated beside us. The inconvenience continued during the meal when I found myself holding a plate in my hand, when the server walked by and the designated spot was taken by another dish. Although the food tasted good at the moment, the post-dining experience left us feeling uneasy 🚽. Our decision to try a new sushi spot led us here, but unfortunately, it's not a location I would recommend based on my less-than-optimal experience.

First visit to Sushi Mountain on December 9 around 6pm. Restaurant was busy, but we were greeted and seated quickly. This is an AYCE sushi place, ordering is done with pencil & paper which is fine. I did find our table to be small for an AYCE sushi place, the sushi rolls were a little larger than I've had before. Tastes good though. Food comes out quick and efficient. Noticed while cleaning the tables it's a little sloppy and napkins were dropped on the floor and a new set of patrons were brought to the table. Nice large windows near our table which was nice. No clue where the restrooms are as it's not clearly marked anywhere.

It was the first time we try it and we think it is quite good for the price, service and quality. It is all you can eat and they have a very good selection of sushi, sashimi, tempura and much more. All the dishes were tasty and the service was good and fast. I would recommend this place if you are craving for Japanese food but don’t want to spend too much. We paid $89 including tax for 2 adults and a 5 year old plus tips. It can be a little cleaner and brighter but that is personal preference.
