The chapatis are great. We buy them by the dozens. They also have little snacks for sale. Prices could have been a little lower, but inflation I guess?

Best chapatis of all time but make sure you place your order well in advance. They are also only open for 20 hours a week which is a real bummer.

Very obnoxious and rude people. I have been to this facility at least on four occasions in the past two months first I thought it was a language barrier but actually it’s not, the woman speaks English. Very well, even speaking with her in Hindi answers are flat and rude. she almost ruined my Christmas dinner this year. And when I told her this she asked me are you a Christian because your name sounds Muslim, Well lady for your information there are a lot of Muslims or people of other faiths who celebrate Christmas, this is not only a religious, but also a family occasion, I ordered Roti’s and Parathas for a gathering over the weekend because she requires customers to order ahead of time however, she does not answer the call so I left her a voicemail with my phone number thinking if there is any issues she will call me, when I arrived to pick up my order on Saturday afternoon, she tells me that she never received my order and then when I told her that I left a voicemail, her excuse is, they are very busy and they can’t get to each and every voicemail. Thank God there is a store right next door to them Called Zain and the old man helped me, prepared the rotis and parathas urgently. Lady, you need to take care of your customers, especially when you have a competition right next door to you. Somebody needs to explain that to her. I was extremely unhappy and will not be going there and I will be spreading the word for people to know that they could be screwed if they left a voicemail to place the order. I think 50% drop in business and she will understand why. I’m so glad for this Google review tool that we can spread the word and let the community know who to trust.

--------------- Positives --------------- The first thing you will notice as you enter this small take out only shop is, the aroma of freshly made Chappati. It reminds us of back home when our moms made Chappatis. Suraj is take out only vegetarian restaurant that sells variety of Chappatis and parathas (see the menu prices photos). Chappatis come in ziplock type package of 10. The quality of Chappatis is very good..not oily, not half cooked like some other restaurants' and does not become dry in a day or two. The Chappatis bear the natural home made texture and color (you know how they have gold brown spots due to flame heat). Each Chappati is 7 inch in diameter and fairly thick but yet soft. They also sell other subjis and samosas but I did not buy them, so no comments. Suraj restaurant is open only for 4 hours on 5 days. It makes Chappatis on a daily basis and no old stock. In fact, when I walked in and asked for 2 packs, the person (not sure owner or not) asked if I had placed order already, which I did not. He said they cater mainly to pre-order but he still managed to give me one pack ($5.75). He suggested that I order atleast 2 days ahead so they know how many Chappatis to make on a day to day basis. There was another customer in line who has ordered 6 packs (60 Chappatis) and also confirmed the same repeat order for the following week. I later understood that many families order their weekly quotas from them. The restaurant (door #6) is just off Finch East on Kennedy in a plaza. There is free parking in the plaza. There is no dine in. The customer service is very polite and friendly. They accept cash, credit and debit card. May be i will try other items as well in the coming weeks. --------------------- Not positives --------------------- For my preference, the Chappatis were a little light on salt..I thought may be a pinch of added salt would be even better. I gave 4 🌟 for that and since I have not tried other items.

We drive from Oakville to Scarborough to get chapatis from here in bulk(200-300). We place the orders in advance. Suraj Kitchen never disappoints - chapatis are always fresh and ready for pickup on time as promised, packed in ziploc bags of 10 each. This makes for easy storage in the freezer. All you need is to pop it in the microwave for 30 seconds - chapatis taste absolutely fresh!
