I visited this restaurant for the first time this evening with my two kids. We arrived, opened the door to enter, and were immediately yelled at by what seemed like former employees, telling us they were closed and warning us not to eat there because they don't pay their staff. There were a few couples still inside, but based on the reviews I’ve read after leaving, it seems like the place is facing some serious financial struggles and issues with food quality. Definitely not the kind of experience I was expecting, and I won’t be returning.

I have been to several all you can eat sushi buffet but never got a feeling anyone was keeping tabs on how much you are eating. But if you want to see that in action, go to sunshine sushi in ancaster. stay away from this place as spend you money at some reputable place.

I wish I could give this place zero stars for the terrible experience we had today. My husband, our two young kids (ages 6 and 3), and I went for lunch and decided to try their all you can eat buffet. We ordered several items like you order at a buffet. The waiter, however, was extremely rude. He came over and told us, in an unpleasant tone, that we had to finish all the food we ordered, or we’d be charged extra. We agreed, trying to keep the atmosphere positive. When we continued having our lunch, the waiter returned to remind us that we couldn’t take any food with us and had to eat everything on the table. When I reminded him that you already told me once and there is no reason to repeat it, he said he I didn’t repeat it, I only told you twice. On top of that, when I asked for a manger , they said they don’t have a manager. When I asked for the owner, they sais the owner is out of country. This was the first time we’ve ever been spoken to in such a condescending and rude manner. It wasn’t about paying extra, but rather the disrespect and offensiveness of the staff that ruined the experience. We ended up paying for everything but decided to leave without eating. The staff’s behavior was completely unacceptable. We felt uncomfortable and even worried that the staff might do something to the food out of spite. To make matters worse, my 3-year-old even said, “This place is bad.” This establishment claims to offer an “all-you-can-eat” experience, but their real goal seems to be to charge customers while preventing them from enjoying the food. If you can’t run a buffet properly, then don’t advertise it as such. And if you’re going to impose such strict and rude policies, at least treat your customers with respect. We will never return and strongly recommend that others avoid this place as well. It seems our experience aligns with the negative reviews from other customers. I have been to several other all you can eat sushi buffet but never got a feeling anyone was keeping tabs on how much you are eating. But if you want to see that in action, go to sunshine sushi in ancaster. Beware, stay away from this place as far as possible!!

By far the best ayce sushi in Hamilton. No point wasting your money at the other places when this one has the best food, best quality, best selection, best service and best value. Honestly you must try, been going since opening day and won’t go to the other places now

The a la cart menu offers decent value, but nothing I had here was truly noteworthy. I will spare you the excruciating details. If you're trying to scratch a culinary itch with acceptional flavor and high-quality fresh ingredients. I suggest you continue the search. If you want a decent priced meal, that will fill you up. This is your spot. I will also mention we were quickly seated, but the wait for service throughout our visit was painful, to say the least.

First time going there. Went for dinner. Was the only 2 people in the restaurant. Food was awful, the 1st order of cheese wontons were good but the 2nd order of cheese wontons were microwaved to keep hot (heard the microwave) and the taste was like they were fried then chewy from being reheated. The ribs on bone, teriyaki steak was over cooked and so chewy I had a very hard time eating it, it just wouldn't break down. Most of the other food was very chewy that it was hard eating. Was surprised that some items were served with BBQ sauce (taste similar to Diana's BBQ sauce). had the soft crab rolls which would have been good but the meat was fried but was cold like colder then the rest of the items in the roll. Another order of shrimp rolls the seaweed was wet and stretchy that you couldn't even eat it. The surf clam Shamsi not sure why but they cut it up instead of leaving it whole so it looked mangled but also didn't taste fresh. The Mackerel tasted as if it was just sitting in water in a can. Order the beef ramen and the broth smelled burnt and tasted blah. And meat was chewy. Mostly everything we had wasn't good unfortunately for $37+tax and tip it was not worth it. The service wasn't great either as I had to ask for more napkins (only had one each) and ask for water twice. We were hearing the restaurant music and also the chef's music (2 different kinds) and it took a while for the food to come for the only ones being in the restaurant.

Went there on weekends, kids under 5 at 6.99 each. A little bit slow at getting the food up, the salad was fresh and my daughter liked her lettuce without any source.. there was no dessert or fruits for all you can eat.. Overall, if you are a big sushi fan, it provides good sushi. But, if you want to have more choices and flexibility, Mandarin is the best at the same price and kids under 5 free at Mandarin!

Food was delectable! After having a not so great experience at a sushi joint in Toronto I was discouraged for awhile, but I'm very glad I came here! We were seated immediately, we went on a Sunday evening, and perhaps the word of mouth isn't out yet as it was almost empty. That being said this is my new favorite all you can eat Japanese! Absolutely beating out the heralded "August 8" which has been the gold standard. Unlike some other lesser establishments, everything we'd ordered that was meant to be hot, came out HOT and very very fresh. I personally would've preferred the sashimi more chilled, but that's my only complaint about the food. Plus, I didn't expect to have a decent Pad Thai alongside my meal but there it was on the menu. Their torched sushi was to die for, and they used generously thick cut red meats for things like the bacon wrapped asparagus, the beef/steak dishes etc. A very minor gripe being that the servers didn't seem very friendly. Maybe it was an off day or everyone was feeling down for one reason or another but that did sit in the back of my mind during my time there. I'm used to smiles and light conversation and these sorts of places but the staff just seemed clocked out. Perhaps it was because it was 2 hours to close? Service wasn't slow, save for one time them forgetting an order but, forgetting 1 order of, let's say, 20, isn't terrible. All in all of you're a Sushi fan, an all you can eat enthusiast or even just someone that likes Asian food in general this hot new spot is a MUST!! Note: All you can eat is $25/27 for Lunch, weekdays/weekends and $35/37 for dinner. Well worth it all things considered if you have even an average appetite.
