We had such a wonderful time at this family-run restaurant! The service was amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious. The family welcomed us with open arms, making us feel right at home. Everyone in our group tried something different, from the flavorful jerk chicken to the rich goat curry. It was my mom's first taste of Jamaican food, and she enjoyed every bite!

First time coming to this place today, I was there from about 2 pm to 3 pm dining in and I give everything a 10 out of 10 from the service to the food to the kindness I experienced. I can say with confidence that I will be coming back again to try more delicious meals. Keep up the good work. Thanks again.

Absolutely awful food. Ordered the oxtail, sour tasting, underseasoned, incredibly small portion, and the rice was the worst part. Literally tastes like minute rice. Ate the food anyways and was sick for days after. Definitely avoid. Edit to reply to reply… I ate the food because I was hungry I did not know I was going to be sick for days.. not a competitor review, just concerned that you’re going to get someone else In the community sick. You would think between the 15 people I’ve seen working there that one of you would be able to figure out how to not give people food poisoning

I finally got to pop in after driving by a few times when it was closed. First impression was how clean and vibrant it was to walk into. I was greeted right away and they were patient while I browsed the menu. I was recommended the curry goat which I will definitely try next time but decided on the jerk chicken. I got a small which was still quite filling but I think I’d go medium next because it was so good and maybe I’d have a bit of leftovers. lol. The rice was so fresh tasting, I could taste the coconut milk base. Some other places around I’ve found the rice to be super bland but not here :) it was delightful. The jerk chicken was classic. A good spice level. I love spicy so I wouldn’t have minded a little hotter but overall it was delicious and cooked to perfection. I am used to a different type of coleslaw coming with a meal but I loved their take on having a cooked style slaw….it was delicious. One of the aspects I appreciated most was the genuine and honest conversation I had while waiting for my food to be prepped. They were so warm and inviting. In a short time we were able to connect and chat about community which is something I really value. I felt welcomed and loved on! I will definitely be returning and it’ll be my go to place for Caribbean 🤗.

This place is a hidden gem. I have had the Jerk Chicken and the Oxtail so far, and I am excited to try the rest of the menu! The oxtail was so tender it fell off the bone, and the sauce was rich and savoury. I ordered it with the plantains, and I was impressed by the portions! Excellent value and quality, can’t wait to go back!

To start my favorite all-time mean is oxtail with rice and peas. So when I get told a dish has rice and peas, that's what I'm going to expect, not rice with gungo beans. There are specific names to these dishes for a reason. Now, the oxtail had no seasoning and didn't taste like oxtail at all. The closest thing it tasted like was stew beef, STILL without seasoning as a normal Jamaican would have it. There was still a black pepper ball in my dish, which usually gets removed from my knowledge and years of having Jamaican dishes, especially from a store. The coleslaw was just a bunch of cabbage slapped on the dish, where again there are specific differences to how this dish is made. Some stores may have some changes, but this store changed everything, and none of those changes were good. I'm used to Jamaican meals how they taste a specific way even going out to eat, I have no idea what the thought process was here but it's bland, rice isn't rice n peas after saying it is, coleslaw is a slop of cabbage and everything could have been done a thousand times better. I wouldn't recommend anything, nor would I recommend spending your money here.

Don’t expect to be full If you want a light snack and ok food this is the spot! Do not expect to be full. My boyfriend got me food and when I came home and opened it up had to laugh 4 pieces of oxtail, barely any gravy and the flavour was ok. See the thing is, I’d rather pay more and get a good amount of food then have a restaurant cheap out on portions and I’m still hungry afterwards. This is exactly why most restaurants don’t survive in this area. Take a look at your food before giving it to your customers and ask yourself as the worker would you be happy if that’s what was given to you as a customer? I highly doubt you’d be satisfied! I get it food expensive. But this is ridiculous! If you want your restaurant to survive. Up your portions even if you have to charge a bit more! We will pay it, we’d rather that trust me! When I open my box of food I want to be like woah, wow, this looks amazing. Not laugh at the pathetic portion. Put more effort into your dishes, your a new restaurant the food should be banging! It’s not. We won’t be returning however if you make a few changes you’ll save your business! My boyfriend has been waiting to try your restaurant for weeks! Finally try’s it and was disappointed.

Hear me out, the food here is spectacular! I had the curry goat and red peas soup. I could taste the coconut milk in the rice and peas, just like back home. The goat was seaoned to perfection and fall off the bone good. The soup made me nostalgic, thick, flavorful and delicious. I will rave about this place to everyone I know. Keep it up Sunshine 🙌🏾
