In terms of flavour, the food was very mid. If you're able to make it for their breakfast or lunch/burger specials, than it makes it a little more worth it. Except don't order potatoes, they definitely microwave them

I wanted to order the French connection but to substitute the french toast for extra charge , i didn't mind but i was refused. So I ordered the strawberry cheesecake french toast that is advertised to be FILLED with cream cheese however, there was barely any inside. When I brought it to the attention of the waitress she could not care any less. She said that is how it is made. I thought my side order of EXTRA CRISPY home fries would salvage my meal but i received a batch of barely done cold potatoes that was totally inedible so i left them on the plate. I took a picture but cannot seem to find where I can post it with this review. All in all.. very disappointing dining experience

Best service Sunset Grill! We visit Sunset Grill quite a bit, this one wins the award for best service! Here is the review: FOOD: Reliably solid breakfast food. This was the first time I tried egg white scramble, instead of my usual full egg scramble. It was pretty good, paired nicely with peameal bacon, potatoes, and the dark rye toast. I would use less oil in the future, but the meal was pretty good for a diner. SERVICE: The service was great. The staff were quick and super attentive, making sure I had coffee and following my gaze for the hot sauce and bringing it to the table right away. This truly was mind reading. Everyone was friendly and respectful. They deserve an award. ATMO: The space is relatively small and the restaurant is somewhat difficult to find, but despite that, they make do with the space well. The tables are well positioned and there is enough privacy between different tables. All in all, we will surely be back! Keep up the good work!

3.5 / 5 stars Small restaurant with a good amount of free parking at the back of the building. My friend arrived first but she had said the sign at the front had indicated to seat yourself which confused her, and I found it to be unusual. But because of self-seating, we saw a couple take up a table of 6 - which can be inconvenient for larger groups. Service was okay, could‘ve been better. Our server didn’t come around to refill our coffee and water - only checked in on us once and again for the bill. I had their new California Benedict. Unfortunately, it wasn’t topped with paprika and fresh chives as the menu says. The guacamole wasn’t as good and they seemed to have lessened the amount of home fries served as well. The temperature of the food was as though it was sitting on the counter for a bit before it was served… My friend seemed to have enjoyed her pancakes though - no complaints. Overall, an okay location to grab breakfast, brunch or lunch with family and/or friend(s). We’ve seen line-ups at the front (which have extended outside the restaurant) a couple times as it can get busy but it didn’t seem like the wait was too long. We got lucky and arrive at a good time.

Burnt, smashed, rotten. I guess the cook has the day off or was upset to work a holiday. Thanks for taking it out on my order. Should have gone with EggSmart... Can't help but notice corporate only responds to positive feedback.

Lots of parking behind the restaurant. Safety measures are in place for Covid. Staff was quick and friendly. They came often to top up our coffees. Fast service and the food was good. Eggs were cooked perfectly. Had a great breakfast there and would return.

I personally haven't experienced any of the food issues some people claim on here. The food has always been delicious. The wait time is the killer. There's no hustle when the house is packed on the weekends. If you're in a brunch mood and don't mind the wait, then check this place out.
