Family style korean lunch/dinner. Amazing food and service. Banchans are yummy too. Love this place. I have attached their latest menu.

Amazing~! I had meals alone, or with friends. All were well served with unlimited side dishes. The family was very nice and kind and welcoming. The food was all delicious. My friends told me she found “Korean home” taste and now it has become her food court for comfort food when she doesn’t want to cook.

I recently ordered this restaurant bibimbap and stew , and it was fantastic! The dish was beautifully presented, with each ingredient fresh and perfectly arranged. The mix of flavors and textures—from the crunchy vegetables to the tender beef and the creamy egg yolk—made each bite satisfying and delicious. The gochujang sauce added just the right amount of spice, tying everything together without overwhelming the other flavors. The portion size was generous. I’d happily return for another bowl of bibimbap and would recommend it to anyone looking for quality Korean food. The stew was decent, with good flavors, but lacked depth. It was enjoyable but didn’t quite stand out.

This is one very, very busy little spot in the heart of Koreatown - a testament to the mouth-watering, stick-to-your-ribs, delicious food. Given how busy this restaurant is, I would have liked it if they had more than one server who was clearly struggling to keep up with overwhelming numbers of diners. I waited nearly 20 minutes to be served. Having said that, the reward was well worth the wait. I had the spicy beef - Bulgogi Donburi - and was amazed to receive about 5 or 6 little dishes of extras - some kimchi and other delectable little treats I can't even identify but which were delicious little accents to the steaming bulgogi with rice ... Easy on the pocket book, and full of the bustle of Bloor Street West in all its glory ... If you love authentic Korean food, you MUST check this one out 👍👍👍👍 😊

My partner and I visited this spot out of nowhere as we were walking along Bloor Street in Korea Town, and decided to give this place a try since it didn't have a line, unlike other restaurants near it. Korea Town has many restaurants and after trying this establishment, I unfortunately don't think I will recommend it first. The Kam Ja Tang, which is the pork bone stew, looked really pretty, and had tender meat. However, it tasted very plain and didn't have enough seasoning, which I was surprised about because I could visibly see red pepper bits on top of the bean sprouts. The bibimbap was solid, although with gochujang, it's pretty difficult to mess up this dish. I enjoyed it for sure. My spouse had the seafood tofu stew and the chicken dumpling soup, and commented that the dumpling soup tasted very plain as well, including the dumplings which lacked flavor. She did, however, enjoy the tofu stew. When I return to Korea Town, I don't think I will specifically visit this establishment, sadly. I do want to make sure I try other places near it, though. With the amount of hole in the wall restaurants on Bloor Street, I am sure one can find something great.

Amazing service! The staff gave us some free fruit before the food came. So kind and friendly.🫶 The soon tofu was amazing! It has so much depth in the broth. Extremely flavorful. Nice side dishes are always huge plus. Highly recommend this place.👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏

A nice smaller Korean restaurant that shines amongst them. Our server (presumably the owner) was kind serving us and catering to our needs. Seemed very upbeat. During service she was even nice to offer us free second helpings on side dishes where other restaurants are stingy on. The food was good. Bibimbap was served to us with plenty of food containing a good assortment allocated. Mines came with the Bulgogi that tasted good albeit slightly smaller than I hoped. We also opted for spicy Rice Cakes that were made well and definitely packed just enough heat. Pricing for the food works well.

Sunrise House is a Korean restaurants located in the Bloor and Christie neighborhood. This is a mom and pop operation that serves Korean comfort food. With the return of the cold weather, this is an ideal place to get some hot Korean stews. We had the Gamjatang (Pork Bone soup), Doenjang Jjigae (Soybean soup) and Seafood Kalguksu (Hand cut noodles). The soups are not heavily flavored with MSG and but there’s still a comforting taste to them. They give out generous portions of the meat and seafood in our Pork Bone and Kalgusuk. The restaurant is not very spacious and tables are tight together. Service was good but it got a bit hectic when it got really busy. This is a takeout and dine-in place. Paid street and lot parking available.
