I am extremely disappointed with the Sunrise location. How is it possible that despite the opening hours being 8 am, the food is still being prepared at that time? I visited this establishment to purchase breakfast this week, but I will never return nor recommend it again. The food was not ready; the front counter staff was on his cell phone, and then he moved some boxes behind the counter while wearing gloves. I must add that these gloves were the same ones used when he started handling the food. The food display area was also dirty, and I have attached a picture to show it. This location either needs to be closed or have frequent visits from the Public Health Inspectors.

If I could give negative stars I would. I gave this location the benefit of the doubt cause I have eaten at sunrise before and the food was actually decent! Especially breakfast! But, I was so turned off I threw it away……As shown in the picture this is what I was served …peanut porridge was just ok being that I love porridge it could have been way better if it was hot, not lumpy and had more sugar….now the festival….. I don’t understand how the woman had the heart to even sell that to someone hard like a rock as you can see black on one side and light on the other, ackee and salt fish was just straight up oily .. and they have the nerve to have a sign saying no refunds on food if you don’t like it or whatever it says. They have a whole pigeon flying in the dinning area and flew directly to the back area, tables are dirty, floor is dirty .. list goes on.. Honestly just don’t waste your money. They need to shut this place down .. these people just want your money and not providing the correct service, and no sort of health food safety can be seen in this restaurant especially as customers consuming their food being a black owned business they need to do better..100 times and more..

Actually deserves a 0/5....Ordered a large stewed callaloo meal with rice and peas....received what is shown in the picture. No....sadly, I'm not joking! Called to speak to a Manager/Owner and was told there isn't one and that the young lady I was speaking with (& the chef who 'doesn't know anything') were the only people on premises. Really? I agree with some of the other reviewers....Sunrise used to be awesome back in the day. Now....definitely not worth even considering as an option.

I am very disappointed with the taste. Seems like the chefs/owners have not been to Jamaica recently; Sunrise jerk chicken is not an accurate representation for what real Jamaican jerk chicken tastes like. The fried chicken and barbecue chicken are mediocre as well. Where do these chefs get their training? Sunrise should get in contact with a real Jamaican restaurant from Jamaica in order to improve the recipes for their menu.. If Sunrise cares about customers satisfaction then they should aspire to cook like real Jamaicans instead of serving this junk to customers.

For a Jamaican restaurant, I'd expect them to know how to season food! SMH...the festival was ok, I know good help is hard to find, but geeze, could your trial your staff in having some decorum?!!

Waited over 10 minutes for someone to come out and start serving the 4 people ahead of me, was asked 3 times what i wanted to order and as u stated placing my order the girl would walk away and do something else like finish the order of the guy ahead, take containers to the back. All i got was a mediocre sorry about that. Ordered curry chicken that looks more like stew out boil chicken. Very disappointed. Your customer service is everything, step it up.
