There was a long lineup yesterday for dine in during Christmas eve but the service was very quick for take out. The chicken wrap was good , it was little different from other middle eastern takeout. Less addon but enough to fill in. Lamb shank was amazing too. Must visit.

Incredible Flavors ! One of the most authentic chicken saj wraps I’ve had in a while as if I was back in the Middle East 💕 Pros: The slice their protein fresh for each wrap Their food is fresh 👌🏼 Kitchen seems to follow good hygiene protocols Each section has a designated individual handling the station to ensure streamlined service The cashiers are friendly despite a busy kitchen and restaurant The chicken saj is AMAZING👌🏼no bs toppings like cucumber and lettuce authentic toppings all the way 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 Cons: Sumaq is located in a very tight and busy plaza The restaurant is pretty small and fills up incredibly fast There is a line up to dine in which can be confusing if it’s your first time and you want to pick up or place and order for takeout (so just politely walk in) All in all it’s worth checking out for an authentic Iraqi dining experience When I first went I noticed that all the other restaurants serving similar style food were all empty which made sense because Sumaq’s flavors are unparalleled! Just a heads up be prepared to line up if you don’t have a reservation and you may have to wait a little while for your order but it’s definitely worth the wait 🔥 Can’t wait to go back 🤤

Came on a Monday afternoon, and man was this place busy. Firstly the food was really good, a simple shawarma wrap with chicken, Pomegranate sauce, garlic sauce, coleslaw, pickles and fries. Chicken was super flavorful and the fires and pickles with the sauces pair together so well. Perfect char on the outside was the cherry on top. When we got there was a line up out the door but that was for the dine in experience, was able to order fairly quickly once we saw we skip the line and just order. We were told 40 minutes for food to be ready but apparently it was ready within 10 minutes. Our food was only a bit cold but would have been nice if timing was communicated better. Sill would recommend to try out!

Loved the experience. Got the Arabi Platter, which comprised of mini chicken and beef shawarma rolls, and was topped up with a ton of fries. The platter came with several dips, including hummus. To add to this we also had the Cheese Borek, which I loved. It was a fried pastry stuffed with cheese, and served with spicy mayo. The service was a bit slow, but we expected it considering it was busy. A bit on the higher end considering the plethora of shawarma places in Mississauga!

I’ve been meaning to check this place out for sometime however, it typically very busy. I finally had the chance to check out during the weekday. The food was great, we had the chicken, fattoush (very tasty & tangy), potatoes (probably the least favourite ) & hummus with beef. The experience was tarnished by the level of service. From the beginning, as soon as I came in, it says wait to be seated. I waited until no one approached, I finally went up to request a table. The server took our order and never checked up on us beyond that. We got up to get our own drinks, I requested a plate to eat, never got it. We finally requested our bill & takeaway boxes. I’m reaching out to grab the plastic bag, she chose to drop it on the table and turn around. We felt like we were inconveniencing them through out our experience even paying at the end. What a disappointment.

It’s such a lovely place. I love how we can see inside the kitchen and the making of the bread. We got the mini mix and that was enough for two adults, a toddler, and baby. The meat was cooked well and we enjoyed each bite. My one down side is the fact the restroom didn’t have a changing table and I ended up changing my son on the ground. I do hope that gets fixed. Other than that, it was definitely worth the trip from Montreal.

I’ve been here before and both times the food was great. This time the potatoes were a little saltier than expected but overall everything was prepared fresh and had a lot of flavour. We ordered the chicken shawarma wrap which was fantastic and the mixed kebab platter. Our server was Maryam and she was phenomenal. Very pleasant and loving. She was so happy, very warm towards my toddler daughter and extremely attentive to our needs (constantly asking if we needed anything else from ketchup and water to anything related to the main course). Thanks guys for a nice evening out for my family.

The food was decent but was served cold. The AC was blasting above my head and the food turned cold quick. Once the food was cold I noticed it lacked flavor or was basically was super bland. The meats had too much fat in it for my liking. Garlic potatoes were OK - I've had better at many other places. Service was pathetic at best. I had to ask the servers for the same request multiple times - I went at 3pm so it wasn't even that busy!!
