Street Momo is a new restaurant in Oshawa opened more than 6 months ago.
We are an independent Indian and Momos restaurant in downtown Oshawa offering fresh pure food. All the kitchen team has more than15 years of experience. Chef Rajan grew up in Nepal and worked 10 years in different Asian countries as a chef in high-end hotels and would like to share his experience with Asian cuisine to the Durham region. Since his arrival in Canada 10 years ago, he opened several restaurants in Scarborough and Whitby. After those successes, he now wants to bring the storm of multi-cuisine tp Oshawa. Chef Rajan used a Nepali name for his new restaurant: Street Momo. The word momo means dumpling in English. Momos are the most popular food in Nepal. Bringing the fusion of momos introduces the food and Nepal to all his customers

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a plate of spicy momo jhol, and it took me back to the authentic flavors I experienced in Nepal with my wife. The portion size was generous, and each momo was packed with a delightful, meat-filled center. The jhol (soup) was rich, spicy, and perfectly balanced, adding a wonderful depth of flavor to the dish. The momos themselves were tender and expertly crafted, reminding me of the traditional Nepali street food I fell in love with. This dish was not just a meal—it was a nostalgic journey to the vibrant and flavorful culinary culture of Nepal. For anyone looking to experience authentic momos, I highly recommend this!

The tandoori Momo was good. Noodles were average. Garlic nan was bland. Definitely overpriced and wouldn’t go back.

Once you go to Street Momo once it will definitely not be your last time!! The menu is vast, the portions are over generous and the pricing is very fair and the taste of everything is absolute perfection! If you’re interested in flavourful foods with a blend of cuisines, this is your place! Every single bite is delicious. When you add a protein to your dish, like chicken, you will find that it is very plentiful and succulent. We have been very lucky to meet Joy who can answer any question about anything on the menu with great detail in regard to what ingredients are in it, how it’s cooked, what would carry home well for the next day, etc. I can’t imagine ever getting tired of this restaurant because of the unique flavors, the freshness, the generous portions, the speed in which it is served and the kindness and knowledge of the staff. Street Momo is definitely worth a try whether you take it out for the first time or dine in, you cannot go wrong!! We are so glad that we went through those doors. We will be back again and again and again! Thank you to all that are part of the Street Momo Team! Jenn and Gerard

The food was so good I totally forgot to snap a couple pics of it. We started with the butter chicken momo and it was perfect. Love the presentation of it. Saw a teriyaki one go by for another customer and its presentation looked even better! I did have the butter chicken, rice and garlic naan. The naan was the standout here. It was absolutely amazing! Topped with their delicious, flavourful butter chicken and I was a happy boy. The service was great! Including the little robot they have that can bring your food to you! The wait staff was ON TOP of the water game. My cup was never dry with how well they kept the bottles coming. We never once had to ask, they just saw we were down and brought another bottle! Will definitely be back when I get a chance!

True gem in Oshawa. We ordered chicken Lababdar spicy and the tandoori chicken momos. Taste was authentic, saucy and mildly spicy. The butter naan was fresh and they came out with all the food in 15 mins of us sitting down. If you were like us on a pit stop during a road trip, definitely stop here. Bathrooms were very clean and overall just impressed with the service. There is a little robot that also brings plates to the table. Restaurant is beautifully decorated 😊 Couple notes for visitors, this is located in a rough side of town. Definitely take precautions on where you park and don’t walk alone at night.

Great option for authentic South Asian cuisine in Oshawa. Their food is delicious specially momos and the portions are good too. All that and affordable prices too. I usually order a takeout but went to dine-in for Lunch once, the experience was nice.
