STK Steakhouse

We went there on Christmas, so maybe the food and service just wasn’t all that great considering how busy they were. Anyways, we had a reservation at 6:00 pm, but when we got there, we were asked to wait at the bar until a table was ready, and we waited for about 25 minutes for a table. For starters, we ordered the Jumbo Lump Crab Cake, which, in terms of size, lived up to its name. However, I’m not sure if they forgot to add salt because the dish was heavily under-seasoned. It could, however, have been saved and elevated had they provided some kind of sauce. We also ordered the Porterhouse and the Yukon Gold Mashed Potatoes. The steak was tender and marbled, but lacked seasoning and was just completely underwhelming. While they served the steak with an Au Poivre sauce, such an expensive cut of meat shouldn’t need any kind of sauce. This isn’t a place I would recommend, and if you want quality steaks, I would say try Black + Blue.

my boyfriend & i went here on Valentines day in 2023 and the steak was absolutely delicious + perfectly the service was equally impressive; the staff was friendly, attentive, and made sure we had everything we needed. it was a fantastic dining experience all around :) our first time being here and we’d love to come again

Went for girls brunch here and the food was amazing, super happy with the vegetarian options considering it’s a steakhouse! The avocado toast was killer. DJ DVS was amazing, he kept the vibes up all afternoon and we were all dancing in our seats. Our server was amazing and so helpful and kind! 10/10 would recommend!

For my birthday celebration, I decided to visit STK Steakhouse in Yorkville. Upon arrival, we were greeted downstairs by a lady who confirmed our reservations and directed us to another lady upstairs. After a brief wait, someone took us to our table, adding a touch of fanciness to the start of our evening. Our server introduced himself with a pleasant demeanor, enhancing our dining experience right from the get-go. Bread was served, though it wasn't gluten-free, so I skipped it and went ahead with ordering a glass of Merlot. For the main course, I ordered a filet medium well with prawns. I was a bit disappointed with the presentation—it seemed like it was just thrown on the plate. Unfortunately, the steak was slightly overcooked, and the shrimp was dry, even though I had specified not to dry it out. The server did offer to have it remade, but I declined. Due to a time limit at the tables on Saturdays, our orders weren't taken until the fourth member of our party arrived. Despite some hiccups, the beef was well-cooked and quite satisfying, which my daughter especially enjoyed. The highlight of the evening was undoubtedly the candle they brought over for my birthday, which was very impressive, as well as the cake and sorbet—both added a wonderful touch to the celebration. Overall, while there were some areas for improvement, the evening was memorable, thanks in part to the ambiance and the attentive service. Oh the ambience was really impressive inside , its a place I would be visiting on a regular basis if I lived downtown.

Our server Stephanie (I think that’s how u spell her name) was soo good to us! She made me and my boyfriend’s 1 year anniversary so memorable and special. She brought us a complimentary dessert and champagne. We had the steak and lamb shanks and mash they were soo good!! Also the peach please drink was amazing totally recommend! Thank you to the best server ever! Definitely coming back just because of her.

The food here is delectable- so good. I think the calamari here is THE BEST I’ve tasted anywhere and so is their steak - I had ordered a rib-eye. The ambience is beautiful, especially for a date. Only thing that made the whole experience extremely tiring was the very long wait time for everything - even the initial drinks or for the food to arrive and then for the bill to arrive. But STK is always super packed and that could be the reason but otherwise one of the best experiences I’ve had in Toronto.
