Stefano's Diner

Made a reservation and every part of this meal was worth it. The staff were great, welcoming, friendly and helpful. Made great recommendations based on our conversation. It was so good that I ordered some food to go to eat hours later. I highly recommend that you eat here, you won't regret a single bite, Do yourself a favour and get the garlic knot. I also love the fact that it's 100% vegan so we didn't have to worry about anything we ordered.

Gia is a great restaurant so it is no surprise that Stefano lives up to the same standards. I have ordered the smash burger twice for delivery and it was AMAZING. Genuinely the best vegan burger I’ve had. I have just dined in for the first time and what a lovely experience. Service is great. Super welcoming, very comfortable. I loved the experience. Great spot for familiar comfort food but plant based.

Such a nice treat to have an Italian vegan restaurant with an extensive and interesting menu. The owners really seem to take interest and pride in every detail. We loved the mozzarella sticks and the drinks we had. There was a mocktail fugazi which was the star of the show. We also got the a mushroom burger which was good though the perimeter seemed a bit overdone. The smash burger was an good old fashioned burger and the filet o’fish tasted very close to the real deal. So if you are looking for a seafood experience without drying out the oceans, you’ve found your dish. The dessert was good too, we enjoyed both the olive oil and chocolate orange cake, perfect sharing portions. Hoping to go back and try a few more things on the menu.

So impressed by Stefano’s from the food to the friendly service! Had a beautiful dinner and tried a plant-based salmon fillet for the first time in my life! It was unreal! The texture, flavour, flaking was so realistic - I’m still in shock. It was delicious and I can’t wait to come back and have it again! Highly recommend.

Amazing place! The Salmon dish is insane - the salmon tastes so real, it is scary… The burger was also super tasty! One of the best vegan burgers I have had in town. I just found the portion a bit small (specially the fries, could be increased)… however, still a great experience!

Absolutely loved my visit to Stefano's Diner! This new gem on Dundas blew me away with its innovative vegan menu. The arancini was perfectly crispy on the outside with a rich, creamy filling that was out of this world. The "tuna" salad was a delightful surprise—so flavorful and fresh, I didn’t miss the real thing one bit! The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, making the experience feel like a cozy neighborhood spot. Special shoutout to our server, Carly, who was not only warm and attentive but also super knowledgeable about the menu. Can't wait to come back and explore more of their offerings!

Gotta get their Italian sub, eggplant parm and lasagna! Never had lasagna that was sideways and crispy, but I was so pleasantly surprised by it. This will definitely be a regular spot for me for both quick eats and a nice dining atmosphere. Make sure to try their cakes too! The olive oil cake has a nice subtle sweetness and the olive oil gives a refreshing flavour and aroma. The lemon cake is definitely a contender for best lemon cake I’ve ever had.

When I saw Stefano’s was opening in the old extra burger, I couldn’t sleep properly; I was so excited. We came by Sunday and were greeted with open arms by Stacy. We got the Italian sub, smash burger, and breakfast sandwich, with a side of fries. All were outstanding. The Italian sub was authentic, packed with “meat”, and flavourful Dijon mustard. The breakfast sandwich would make for a hearty first meal of the day. And the smash burger was just like the real deal. Crinkle cut fries on the side are a MUST. Service is amazing and the vibe is laidback/kinda upscale retro diner. This will be our new spot for takeout and dining in.
