Portion was tiny. Half the size of pitaland wraps for the same price. Their beef "shawarma" is also just very subpar chewy grilled beef and NOT actual shawarma. TLDR: if you're in the area and wanting to get shawarma, go to pitaland just down the street.

I recommend the place for a quick bite. I ordered their Philly Steak. It was too oily for me. We also had their shish tawook sandwich. Their food is affordable and Halal if you care.

I had ordered the poutine burger and a cheese steak salad. The burger didn’t look as expected, the presentation fell a little short, but the taste was amazing and quite filling. The salad was great but I feel they could have been more generous with the steak, it appeared to be quite a bit on the top but then realized that they were just slivers of beef. Overall the food tasted good.

Bad y'all. I ordered a 6" philly cheese steak and fries. I was charged $10.68 or something like that. The lady made a face when I said I was ordering to go since I was still in lecture. She seemed like she was barely keeping it together. The fries taste like freezer-burnt McCains. The philly was just bread with sauce that was packaged gravy with hints of real food. I'm not kidding. For a place so close to Banh Mi Boys, I can see why it was a ghost town on a Friday afternoon. It feels like I lined up for bread during the Great Depression. I wanted to support a place a little more local than Starbucks, but honestly my stomach is turning from the lack of quality, and I'm probably going to hurl after this. This is my first one star review in the history of my life. I'm telling everyone I meet not to come here.

Decided to try this place after seeing it on UberEats. Wasn’t expecting too much; mostly a decent burger. Was extremely disappointed with the quality and portion sizes of my order. Ordered two burgers: the veggie/fried mozzarella burger with grilled veggies and a chicken burger. There were absolutely no vegetables on the veggie/fried mozzerella burger, and the fried mozeralla “patty” was completely inedible; it was extremely chewy and had a disgusting aftertaste. The chicken burger was no better, there was literally half a skid of mustard/ketchup. In addition, I ordered a large spicy fries ($6) and the size of the box it came in was laughable. The fries were not spiced in the slightest (seemed to be missing salt as well). Spent close to $30 for something destined for the trash and I’m still hungry. EDIT: The owner of the shop reached out to me and offered to re-make my order at no extra cost. However, I’d have to go to the restaurant myself to pick up the order. I don’t live near it, so it wouldn’t be worth the trip for me. However, I really appreciate the owner taking my review seriously and offering to make amends. If nothing else, they have good customer service!

See the below screenshot of a reply from STEAK and CHEESE's OWNER for one review. Wow!! IF this is the kind of response that comes from the owner, then this company needs 1 star. I would think twice before visiting them! The reviewer in the screenshot should have starred it as 1 star because based on the description that this reviewer wrote, Steak and Cheese deserves a ZERO star! Food and customer service = ZERO star. Twice in two days. Had a steak and cheese sandwich two days in a row here. Really like the bread they use. Tastes good and relatively good value.

A small burger restuarant near Ryerson University, offering halal food, and perfect for a quick bite. They fries here have just the right amount of crispness, and the burger patties are delicious. The burger itself is like any other burgers, but whatever it is they use to season their meat makes me want to go back for more.
