I had the pleasure of being served by Desiree at Staten, Maine, and she truly went above and beyond to make our dining experience exceptional. There was initially some confusion regarding our steak order—our understanding of medium well, medium rare, and medium didn’t quite align. However, Desiree handled the situation with incredible patience and professionalism, ensuring we were completely satisfied. Thanks to her dedication and effort, the steak not only turned out to be the most delicious I’ve ever had, but it also left me eager to return for the same dish again. Despite how busy the day was, Desiree made us feel comfortable and well taken care of. Her attention to detail and commitment to customer satisfaction were outstanding. Thank you, Desiree, for turning a potentially challenging experience into a memorable one. I highly recommend this place, and I’ll definitely be back!

Good food. Loved the fish tacos. Service was also really great. The tapped sodas tasted like chlorine but that might be because I’m European. The other drinks tasted just fine.

Food was great: hot and fresh and tasty. Atmosphere was casual and comfortable, we had a large birthday party and Michael was so accommodating helping us take photos and taking our orders, refills and removing empty plates.

We stopped here with some work colleagues for lunch. We were a larger group of about 13 people. The service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive and efficient, especially considering the size or our party. The food portions were large, and overall, everyone seemed happy with their selections. I personally had the Steak and Sushi. It was good, but I would try something different next time. Some in the group ordered dessert, which all were large enough to share between 2-3 people. If you're in the area, this is a restaurant that is definitely worth checking out!

I had a great experience at the State & Main Vaughan location. The food and service were excellent! The New York steak was cooked perfectly, and the cod in miso was delicious

Disappointed. Food was not great at all. Fish tacos were a tortilla wrap with a huge mound of plain cabbage and one tiny fish finger. A 5 yr old could have put that together at home. The burger meat was very hard, low quality, not even up to the standard of a fast food burger. The service was difficult, very unfriendly, couldn’t find anyone anytime we needed anything, they got the bill wrong. The seating was ridiculous. 6 people crammed into a booth, and everybody had to stop eat and get up and move everytime one person needed a washroom. I was embarrassed that I took my family from out of town here. Please save your money and go elsewhere. The prices here are fine dining level and the place is fast food level. This is not elevated comfort food, it’s not elevated anything.

Our server, Emily, truly made the evening memorable. She went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of our meal and drink was perfect. Emily was not only incredibly knowledgeable about the menu but also made excellent recommendations that suited our tastes perfectly. What stood out the most was Emily's genuine friendliness and attentiveness. She checked in on us at just the right moments, ensuring our glasses were never empty and that we were enjoying our food. Emily’s positive energy and enthusiasm were contagious, making the entire dining experience even more enjoyable. The food and drink, of course, was outstanding – beautifully presented and bursting with flavor. However, it was the impeccable service that truly set this restaurant apart. Emily turned a great meal into an unforgettable evening. Kudos to Emily and the entire team for making our night special. Definitely come back!

Service - Making a reservation is a smart move, as the restaurant was busy even on a Friday night. Despite being short-staffed, the service didn't falter. We were promptly seated, and special accommodations were made for my friend and their child. Our server was attentive, friendly, and added a personal touch to our meal, making the service a highlight of our visit. Ambiance - The restaurant exudes a retro, casual yet professional atmosphere. It features two main areas: a bar and a seating section. While sports were on TV, it didn't detract from the dining experience. Accessibility was well thought out, with automatic doors, close parking, and spacious aisles. **Overall** - This restaurant is highly recommended for its ability to cater to diverse tastes and preferences, making it a perfect choice for a variety of diners.
