We came on a friday night around 9pm, busy but not overwhelming. Immediately we were met with cordial and quick service! our server, taylor, was kind and helpful in deciding what’s good. She was very informative about any entrees or apps we were looking at getting. The food was absolutely amazing. Highly recommend the soup dumplings and margarita flatbread for apps and the enchiladas and pacific rim noodle bowl for mains 10/10!!

This was our first visit to any State and Main restaurant; I would 100% go again to this location. Hats off to the hostess, Taryn, who started our experience by being just about the most delightful human being on a cold and rainy day. She was second only to our server, Maylana, who was super friendly, attentive, and lovely. I appreciated her patience with us as we tried to decide what to order. We decided on the Pink State Mint and State and Main Paper Plane, which were both delicious, as well as the Pretzel Bites as a starter. They had a Steak and Bourbon event going on so my partner and I each got one of the steak dishes on offer: The Steak and Sushi was delicious, perfectly done, but be warned it's a bit on the spicy side. The sauce was delicious (perfect spice level for me). The tuna sushi on crispy rice was also tasty and I appreciated the different textured. The Bourbon Peppercorn New York steak was also perfectly done, and the sauce just as flavourful. All in all, we didn't know what to expect but came away with an exceptional experience. Had the main burger and it was delicious, cooked well although the onions were pretty thick. I had a side of sweet potatoes and the dipping sauce that came with it was scrumptious. We also had a veggie burger which was also delicious. Good place for the price, happy hour also has some pretty good deals.

I was very pleasantly surprised with state & main, from the outside it looks like your cookie cutter (sorry) corporate "family" restaurant but with that said, credit where it's due. The food here was pretty damn good, drinks were fairly priced and service was quick and friendly. I recommend the bang bang shrimp, so good.

Rating: ★★☆☆☆ I recently visited State and Main, but unfortunately, it didn't quite meet expectations. The service was average at best 😕, and the atmosphere felt lackluster. I tried the Nashville Hot Burger 🍔, which was disappointingly small and didn’t seem worth the price 💸. The Spicy Thai Bowl 🍜 was bland and fell short of typical Thai flavors, lacking the usual punch. The Bang Bang Shrimp 🍤 was decent, but overall, I wouldn’t recommend it. There are definitely better options out there for the price.

This location works hard to make your visit perfect! We asked for specific seating arrangements and the host knew the details when we arrived. I didn’t notice that one of our entree’s included fries, until it arrived. I asked if for a salad, and they were kind enough not to charge us for the salad. I was asking so many questions about two of the entrees and they did make a mistake and they didn’t bring the one we ordered. Nate was instantly prepared to replace the entree with what we ordered and we were totally fine to keep it, yet they gave us 10% our bill. There are so many restaurants to choose from, and I gravitate to the venues that offer stellar service. Thanks Nate!

The service is consistently top-notch, with staff who are attentive, friendly, and make you feel right at home. The ambiance strikes the perfect balance between cozy and modern, making it an ideal spot for any occasion. Food’s absolutely delicious, similar to their original Vaughan location! From fresh ingredients to creative dishes, every meal is a treat. Whether you're grabbing drinks with friends or enjoying a nice dinner, State & Main never disappoints. Highly recommended!

We went on Sunday for dinner around 830pm and was really excited to try it out since we’ve never been here before. Aesthetic is neat and simple. I don’t know if it was because we came at almost closing time but the food wasn’t wow as I had expected. The salmon was a little on the dry side and had that pungent fishy aftertaste, the bang bang shrimp lacked the crispy factor, so the bottom was a little bit soggy. The sauce that was drizzled on it was good tho. The soup dumplings were dried out, there was no soup inside at all and the flavour was okay. The calamari was bland, the batter didn’t have any flavour so we were relying on the lemon and the dip. The chicken fingers and fries for the kids was good though. Crispy, seasoned well. The best thing I had was my drink, it was the raspberry with Prosecco and tequila. Overall I think I overhyped myself into thinking it was gonna be really delicious and was left underwhelmed. We had a gift card so thank goodness we didn’t have to pay much.
