Came here the other night for my birthday dinner. Food: Most of my party loved the food. One thought the steak didn’t have much flavour, and I thought the fish was dry/overcooked and the calamari a bit fishy-er than usual. But the fries and dill dip and mocha pie for dessert are great. Service: Amazing. Our server was a gem. We didn’t catch her name but she was so nice and attentive. Atmosphere: We sat in the lounge area to the left of the entrance. It was DARK in here. The lights were barely dimmed and none of the candles on the tables were lit (we lit ours ourselves to try to get some light). Most tables we saw needed to use their phone flashlight to look at the menu (as did we). I understand “ambiance” but the lights should definitely be turned up so that an average person can read the menu without a flashlight.

I live in Aurora and this is by far one of my favourite restaurants. Eric the Manager is wonderful and always accommodating. I am celiac and he is always diligent to make sure that I do not inadvertently digest wheat. There is even a gluten sensitivity menu, with many delicious items. Every time I have been here, the service has been great! Everyone is friendly and happy to see you. My server today was Maddie. She was joyful and friendly. Katherine made my last-minute reservation with an equal amount of kindness. I highly recommend State & Main!

Service was excellent. The waitress was very attentive. Dined around 6:30 and still most tables were occupied, yet didn’t have to wait long to get food to table. No complaints about food. Tuna tartare was surprisingly good. Grilled cheese burger had nice thick, crunchy bread. After eating there was no room for dessert. Casual dining atmosphere

Came here to celebrate a birthday. Overall, the food was good, except for my steak. Asked for medium, got it almost rare and of course it was cold. The chicken fingers were fire! The calamari was good as well. Great service and accommodated well. Definitely recommend. Don’t forget to follow me!!

We had our family dinner there and Sarah was helping us out. First time at this chain establishment for some strange reason. Place was full, service was very good and we liked the food. Leafs were playing, TVs were on, lights were proper and overall it was a great experience. It's a new facility and I have no doubts we will be back. We liked it.

Good food and nice ambiance. Everyone loved the jalapeños Mac N Cheese and Bang Bang shrimp. My fish tacos were a little over fried but the taste was ok. My kids enjoyed the burgers and fries. Pizza was pretty good as well. We will be back!

Lovely patio sitting area. Very good customer service. The server - Lauren was very friendly & nice. Unfortunately our food was just ok. We ordered the Truffle & Shrimp Rigatoni, the pasta was very oily. when it's heated at high temperatures, the fat separates from the rest of the cream. The fat is the oil you see and that's why our dish could turn into a half oil, half cream mess when you reheat your pasta sauce in the microwave. I hope that was not the case. The Royal Bangkok noodle bowl was also quite salty & oily. The Main burger, Pretzel bites & West Coast Chop salad were pretty good. They also have daily special on menu. We got the half price of wine on Thursday.

We always do takeout from this restaurant and this was our first time eating in here. Food was great and delicious. Service was okay. The calamari was so fresh and tender that was cooked just right. I had the Spicy Tuna Poke which was amazingly spicy, so yummy and filling, however, it’s a bit too salty. This is a good cozy place with nice pub vibe and good food.
