Great food, the service could’ve been a bit better. May be the waiter wasn’t having a good day. Nonetheless, good food. Also, I didn’t get the chai latte I ordered and paid for, didn’t notice until I got home. UPDATE: I was able to go back and get the chai latte. She was super nice about it too

We recently visited the Starving Artist for breakfast and were thoroughly impressed. The coffee was exceptional—some of the best I've had in a while. The waffles were perfectly made, with just the right amount of crunch on the outside and a wonderfully soft and fluffy interior. The staff were friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Overall, a fantastic breakfast spot that we highly recommend.

I had the B.E.A (bacon, egg and avocado) waffle with a side of fruit and it was so good! I thought that maybe the waffles might be dry due to not adding any syrup but it bacon was coated in maple syrup which then was running onto the waffle and the poached egg blended so well. Overall a great combination and it wasn’t too busy for a Saturday morning, we ate at 11am.

This was a nice place but tables were a little sticky and there is more of a diner vibe than the upscale I think they're trying to go for. Either way the food is delicious. You really are coming here just for the waffles. I'm glad they had a potato waffle option for their savory meals. If you are getting the bacon, know that all bacon and all dishes seems to be caramelized. You'll get a pretty large hit of sweet, even in the omelettes.

Came here for brunch on a weekend and while it was busy, we were still able to get a seat for 2 in under 30 minute wait. While the food tasted amazing, the service was okay. I think it’s pretty disorganized because we had multiple people ask what order is when we already placed our order. As well, when we got a smoothie it took over 20 minutes after our food arrived to get it. This was after asking multiple times and later finding out that they forgot our order / mixed it up with another table who ordered the same thing. Besides that, the interior is really nice and lots of parking since its located in a plaza.

We have tried to visit the Rexdale location a number of times based on recommendations from friends for a great brunch but each time the space was full. This weekend we were able to get a table after a short wait. Now that we have been I understand the wait and being full. It is a very small space , what you see is what you get there is no back room. The dish pit and kitchen are side by side so as fast as they can clear tables the dishes are washed for service. The staff hustle here. The music was too loud for us but no one else seemed bothered. They only have one space that can accommodate a group of 6 all others are 4tops. So just beware or call ahead and ask for accommodation. The smell is divine when you walk in. We had the beans, bacon and mini waffle. It’s a huge bowl of baked beans topped with chopped maple bacon and the perfect size waffle. The maple bacon is sweet so beware if you watch sugars. The loaded potatoe waffles are just that. Loaded baked potato in waffle shape. Came with a side house salad and lots of fresh fruit. I really enjoyed this as I only ate one waffle and brought the other home. It wasn’t overly heavy and the salad was a good balance. The chicken bacon cheese waffle sandwich is ridiculously large and heavy. Also came with side salad and fresh fruit. While we all shared this and it was delicious it’s far too big and a couple of bites were sufficient. The waffles are really thick which made biting difficult. It’s more suited to a fork and knife. Only let down was the vanilla milk shake which we were convinced was foamed milk with whipped cream on top. Child liked it and they were really busy so we didn’t complain. Would go back again as food is delicious.

Went on a Saturday at 10am. Had mochaatte with oat milk, Monte cristo waffle sandwich, and chicken and bacon waffle sandwich. It was the perfect portion size. Salad and fruit were fresh. The mocha latte was done perfect and came with a side of chocolate wafer. The local art work is beyond amazing! I wish I had written down the artists name that drew the cutest animal paintings. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Looking forward to going back.

Great spot for breakfast/brunch. Walked in was greeted but the associate was alone serving so many tables, cooking and doing take out orders. Very impressive service for one person didn't catch his name but he was great! The food was amazing I was very satisfied especially for a breakfast dish! Definitely recommend 10/10 for me! We got the chicken and waffles as well as Eggs Benedict.
