Stacked Pancake & Breakfast House Barrie

This breakfast place was our go to. The last few times, we have seen a steady decline. One time, we were actually asked to leave due to a line at the door, when I complained, they were generous and gave us vouchers for another time. Great fix. I moved on. The last time we were there, it was with my grown kids and the cutlery was dirty (we didn't complain, just asked for new) then my daughters food came, poached eggs. When she put her fork into the eggs, out came a bunch of green stuff. As a result, I personally can't eat eggs anymore as it was so very gross. The restaurants solution was to make us more eggs that were brought out when the rest of the meal was finished. They still charged us for the eggs. Not one offer of a solution just a "sorry." - I would normally speak up, but my kids asked me to let it go. Not sure what that green stuff was but, it was disgusting and I wish I had an explanation. Oh well. Sorry to be this person that writes a bad review. My only goal here is to encourage the restaurant to do better. Sadly, I won't be back as I am too grossed out, but, hopefully other folks won't have to face this.

Freshly poached beautifully done eggs! With a side of spinach and mushroom (customised order 1.50 each) with fresh fruits and toasted rye bread.. everything was perfect ! The hostesses are super attentive and so kind!

My husband and I have been coming here for breakfast for quite sometime. Always had great service and good food. Over my last 3 visits the food has gone a bit down hill. We ordered breakfast to go and the eggs were over cooked and the food was cold. My last visit the service was good but I was very disappointed in the food. When you pay good money for food you should get good food. Im not sure if they got a new cook?? I will most likely not be going back. There are other great breakfast places in Barrie

Very friendly staff. They didn't mind we visited 1 hr before closing. Food is good better than Cora's. Price is reasonable.

The place was ok, service was ok, they asked us to leave since they had a queue. I think servers are doing the most but honestly it was packed and food was average, not sure if I’ll be back

Are usually go here and is usually pretty good, but today when I got my coffee, the spoon was completely dirty and they already have it inside the coffee the rest of the silverware on the table as well. I asked for new silverware and it was still dirty, then we got our breakfast served and home fries were rotten some of them and the server wasn’t really focussed today because she’s served us before and she’s been great at her job just not today so needless to say I won’t be coming back here The quality in food has come down since the reopening and cleanliness of their dishes and silverware.

Opted for takeout without a clue of what options I have, the staff recommended and also customized the order as per my request. As expected, I had a great experience and friendly staff with the order, Natalie helped me making my order and the taste was fantastic too! Ample parking space and pocket friendly options. Their strawberry jam is my current favourite! I highly recommend to try their food!

My partner and I spent a weekend recently at Horseshoe Valley Resort in Barrie, and after Googling best breakfast places in Barrie, we decided to stop in on our way back to Toronto. We were so impressed with everything at this place! The location was not too hard to find, the service was impeccable and we got seated quickly, the quality of the ingredients were clearly very fresh and of the highest standards, not to mention how promptly our food came out. I would highly recommend checking out this spot, especially if you’re craving breakfast. You won’t be disappointed! Tip: come early since the lineup grows quickly.
