Spice Is Rite

I love the restaurant's ambience. It has a Caribbean/Jamaica/Raggae team. It is beautiful and decorated with informative pictures of black history. It was clean and quiet when I visited. I made a TGTG order and came to pick it up. I met a man who welcomed me warmly. It took a few minutes to get my food, but it arrived fresh, hot, and tasty. I must commend them on the quantity of the food (rice and peas) and the amount of the chicken for a TGTG order! The restaurant is accessible.

I have to say I have tried a lot of jerk chicken places all over Toronto and this hidden gem would be one of the best I’ve had. This place has an amazing atmosphere friendly staff and the most incredible jerk chicken I regret not knowing about this place earlier 🤩

I've been coming here for years. Good food that makes you feel good. I work hard and know I can rely on these guys to keep me going. Such nice people work here as well. Always greeted with a smile! Thanks for feeding me and my community!!

I love this place. Every time I work in the area, I do my best to stop by. Good, fair prices, great food, and staff are super friendly. Food servings are a good size. Be sure to give them a try if you're in the area. Keep the business alive. Love you guys. ✌️

The Spice is certainly rite at this place! Spice is Rite has the best Jamaican food I've had in Scarborough. Great value for money. The lady at the front is also very helpful and kind. I had the jerk chicken which fell off the bone and was very flavorful. Very good value on their lunch specials as well. Will be returning!

I had never been to this restaurant before, so I tried it out for the first time using the Too Good to Go app. My surprise bag had rice and peas with fried chicken and a side of coleslaw. The food was delicious and the gentleman who helped me at the counter was lovely and kind! The only reason I took off a star is because they didn't honor the price point on the app...the surprise bag was supposed to be valued at $21, but according to their menu my bag would've only normally cost about $12. Otherwise, the food and service were good!

It’s a no for me. I don’t know if the restaurant was closing or something but I got curry goat and literally got the worst “meat” ever. It’s literally scraps of bone. I don’t know which curry had such a pale, yellow colour. The rice looks wet and yucky. If you’re running low on items, simply cancel the order. Why send out such awful quality food and tarnish your own reputation.

Got a lunch special. Jerk chicken with rice and peas with oxtail gravy. With steamed veggies. The chicken was finger licking good. The rice were just perfect. The veggies were great. But the staff was the best part 😉 the lady working has great sarcasm and humour. Huge shout out to her for tue great food and good quick laugh while getting my food easy contact less and safe. Definitely recommend for the food and service top notch. Definitely will be returning fo try the fried chicken next time.
