SPARKLY Japanese & Thai Restaurant

Came here randomly with a buddy for dinner because it was the first place we found parking. We opted for the a la carte menu instead of the AYCE. I got a pad Thai, hot and sour soup and she got a curry. The food was really good and the portion sizes were really generous. I took home 3/4 of my pad Thai because I couldn’t finish it, which is unusual for me 😂. Moreover, the prices were really reasonable and the waiter let us sit and talk without rushing us. (Probably helped that we arrived at 5 and the restaurant was empty). Even as it got busier, the restaurant was spacious enough that I never felt like we had to shout to hear each other. Overall, great place for dinner and a meet up.

I had an incredible dining experience at Sparkly Vaughan! From the moment I walked in, the service was exceptional. Lily, our server, was attentive, friendly, and made the entire meal even more enjoyable. The food was nothing short of amazing. It’s an all-you-can-eat style, but the quality is far from typical buffet fare. The Thai-Asian fusion dishes were fresh, flavorful, and packed with delicious, mouth-watering tastes. Every dish was prepared with care, and you could really tell the ingredients were of high quality. From savory Thai classics to unique fusion creations, everything was perfect. I especially loved the variety of options – something for everyone, and everything was flavorful and cooked to perfection. I will definitely be returning for another round of delicious food and top-notch service!

The Sparkly restaurant is always friendly and welcoming. Our waiter, Mickey, is attentive, kind and courteous and we are sure he will be promoted to a manager in the future. We really recommend this great place.

Disappointed. This is one of the worst Japanese AYCE restaurants I've ever been to. The rolls are small and inconsistent in size, made with non-fresh, low-quality fish. Some rolls were even premade, which is shocking. The kalbi was burnt, and the Thai dishes were some of the worst I've tried. Given the poor quality, the place is overpriced. On a positive note, the restaurants decor and service was good.

I recently discovered this place thru a coworker. I really like the all you can taste option so you can see what things you like. With this option they bring you smaller portions of the dishes. There is a large variety of options from Thal to Japanese etc. The better deal is weekday lunch pricing. My fave items were the mango chicken, pepper beef, coconut shrimp and curry pad Thai. I did not like the crab fried rice, the amount of salt was obnoxious. That's my only complaint with the food is the salt content, it can definitely be reduced. I did come back to try the a la cart lunch special and took out Mango chicken which came with rice, miso soup and tiny salad. It was a good portion. Will definitely come back.

Decent food for AYCE. Sashimi was fresh but could be sliced thicker. Erdinger draft was unexpected german weiss bier at. Japanese/Thai spot. Didnt like the food coloring in the Green Curry.. Didnt look right.. But it was tasty.

Really liked this AYCE Japanese restaurant. They gave you the amount you ordered (some places when you order 20 pieces of salmon sashimi or whatever give you less). The food came out fast. They have escargot on the menu and high I haven’t seen before in an AYCE restaurant. You order through the server (vs some restaurants where you order from a tablet). We had an 8 person booth. Would come back!

Food and atmosphere are excellent. Service is great, however inconsistent at times. Orders are verbally taken and while 80% arrives fast, the other 20 is either late or doesn't come at all. Even worse is when you're already having ice cream and the beef teriyaki you've been waiting for is suddenly brought out, haha! It's a minor thing and this happens in most AYCE restaurants we go to, but when it's not busy it's questionable. Otherwise, I recommend this place. Try all their curries, especially with the peanut sauce-- you won't regret it. And don't forget the coconut rice! The skewers and coconut shrimp are great appetizers, while the tempura simply has too much batter and its sauce for some reason is very bland compared to others. Several options for fried rice (south Thai and pineapple w/ chicken and shrimp are faves) and pad Thai is amazing. Both all-you-can-taste menus are wonderful. Can't take enough photos as everything gets eaten fast enough :-)
