Solaia is a fantastic restaurant! The staff are very accommodating and friendly and the food and drinks are great. The atmosphere is also wonderful. If you're looking for a nice place to eat for a date night or special occasion, PLEASE come here! My husband and I have come here a few times and it gets even better each time! Chef David is fantastic and Jared makes wonderful drinks. This is a place that you must try at least once; especially if you are a St. Cats local!

Elegant Italian restaurant in downtown St.Catharines. I had the Beef Tenderloin, the taste texture, and the generous helping of vegetables on the side was excellent. My wife had the pasta with Cornish hen, and she also really enjoyed it. Their selection of wines was superb, Loved the location right downtown. There is plenty of free parking after 6 in the nearby parking garage. Very tastefully decorated, it seems upscale, but prices were reasonable. The only thing we didn't like was the Beef Tartar. It was too vinigery. Their choice of music was also not always in keeping with the ambiance. Overall though, highly recommended.

If you like great pasta and fresh-made bread this is the place to go downtown. It's tucked away near the end of St Paul and easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. The gnocchi was incredible and reasonable portion sizes, the highlight was definitely the in-house bread.

This place is absolutely amazing. We celebrated our anniversary and were given complementary sparkling wine when we arrived at our table. We had the mussels for an appetizer and it was so delicious; only with they had more bread to soak up the amazing sauce it came in. (I'm sure if we asked for more bread they would have happily obliged but we used a spoon to get ever last drop it was so tasty) The owner came over before we ordered our entrees and advised us that everything is made fresh and to order and that their menu is not strick they can make so many accommodations and adjustments to make sure your meal is perfect. I had the braised rabbit gnocchi and it was the BEST gnocchi I've ever had! My husband had the spaghetti carbonara and the presentation, taste, flavor, everything was spot on. As we were leaving the owner politely excused himself from a conversation with another table, and open the door for us as we left and wished us a happy anniversary. Amazing service! Incredible food! Definitely coming back soon!

Solaia is a wonderful spot! The food was delicious. We had the saffron seafood risotto (5/5), the creme brulee (5/5), and two of the daily specials; an ahi tuna entrée (3.5/5) and a scallop appetizer (5/5). My only complaint is that I wished the scallop appetizer came with more than just one scallop. It was very tasty! We were also very impressed with their cocktails! They are refreshing, mixed well, and do not have over powering profiles or flavours. The ambiance of the restaurant is wonderful. It's great for a nice date night or a special occasion. I would recommend sitting towards the back of the restaurant by the bar and booths in the back with the pretty mirrors. The restaurant was gorgeous light fixtures everywhere that sets a very nice mood, especially the golden dimmable table lamps that sit in each table. Lastly, the service! Our server and the bar tender were very pleasant and nice. Our server was very attentive and came to refresh our tableware after each dish. Would definitely recommend this spot! Just make sure that you book reservations!

Loved the ambiance and the food! I would recommend this place for a date night if you’re craving Italian food. The braised rabbit gnocchi was unique and delicious. The fish feature was bacon-wrapped trout with risotto inside. Both mains were great we had to try their dessert—the torta was sooo good🥰 Food was great but I was mostly surprised at the ambiance. It gets busy ~7pm so I recommend making a reservation earlier if you prefer a more quiet dine-in!

Very welcoming and clean environment. Food was absolutely amazing! Highly recommend trying this place out. Perfect for a date night or even business dinners. Super professional staff and the owner came up to our table and other tables to make sure everything was good and asked us if we had any questions regarding to the menu. Ps: The croutons they make is crazy good. Crispy outside and juicy and soft inside.
