This was my first time coming here. They were super welcoming and made some recommendations for me as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. They recommended the Goat Roti which was excellent! It was my first time trying Roti. The goat was very tender. I would definitely come back and I'd highly recommend enjoying a meal here.

They prefer cash but still take AMEX!!! Great food and crispy jerk chicken!! It’s better than Alia’s next door for sure since I’ve tried both of them. The waitress is being nice and welcoming, I highly appreciate it!! Since we’ve been having a lot of conversation and I’ve provided them with appreciation, the chef even offered me a free piece of cake! You guys should definitely try their lunch special, it’s till 7pm and only 12.98 for jerk chicken!!

I had the jerk chicken, and it was fantastic! The rice and peas were delicious—fluffy, perfectly cooked, and not clumpy at all. The jerk chicken was well-smoked and seasoned, though I would have loved a bit more jerk sauce to round it out. The hot sauce was nicely spicy, but I’m not sure it’s entirely fair to charge 25¢ to 50¢ for it. They had run out of plantain, which, while disappointing, shows that they focus on buying fresh, quality ingredients and only what’s needed. The jerk grill worked wonders on the meat, adding that signature smoky flavour. A surprising highlight was the coleslaw. I usually dislike coleslaw, but this one was a game-changer—crunchy, fresh, and lightly dressed, rather than drenched and soggy. The owner and her colleague were hardworking, wonderful women who were an absolute delight to chat with. Their warmth and genuine care for their customers made the experience even more memorable. For those leaving negative reviews, I’d suggest reflecting on the energy you bring to a space. Smoke ‘N’ Roti embodies the spirit of community hospitality, taking the time to connect with customers who appreciate the effort. This isn’t a fast-food chain; it’s a local gem where good food and great conversations come together. I’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for authentic, lovingly made food!

Great doubles. The bara is thick, it's packed with channa and very flavorful. Their hot sauce is very good. Best of all, the customer service was impeccable.

I recently enjoyed the jerk pork dinner, and it was fantastic! The pork was perfectly tender, with a wonderful smoky, coal-fired flavor that really made each bite delicious. The rice and peas were well-seasoned and complemented the pork nicely. The coleslaw was a standout fresh, crisp, and with a unique twist that added a refreshing balance to the meal. Altogether, it was a memorable and satisfying dining experience. Highly recommend!

I had been curious about this place and the first time I came the female said they were closed. Now my second attempt I finally made it! I was first eager as I heard the restaurant had some connection to Trinidad so I am aware they make really good Roti. Well people! This place sucks! When I came in there were two females at the counter talking to current customers ordering food. When they were finally finished and it was my turn I thought the reception would be amazing. Instead one of the females looked at me and said "yes". I said "hi" and she just nods her head with no verbal response I found that rude but, hey. Then I said I wanted to order oxtail and she says "how do you want it?" I found that odd to ask so, I responded how do you make it? She said either rice/peas or soup. I ordered with Ric/Peas and for most west Indian places they would ask Rice/Peas or White Rice. Rude stuff. To say less, I was extremely surprise how dry the Roti is. I guess it matched the service and my mum who had the oxtail was disgusted she didn't eat all of it. My mum felt the oxtail was way too dark, too much pepper and the rice was grainy (uncooked). After my roti I just felt nausea and it's a shame. I had high hopes to this place and it was evaporated. I have included pictures. I had to reheat the Roti and my mum her oxtail why the food are on plates. The parking structure is busy. Plus very narrow spaces.

It is the worst food ever we had. Me and my husband ordered jerk pork, chicken rotti and two patties. We had to wait for pretty long time Nd Beef patty tasted old. Instead of jerk pork she gave pork skewer and it was totally tasteless and pork was rubbery. I couldn’t even eat that food. Jerk Chicken rotti was tasteless and didn’t even have any sauce. It was the worst experience ever we had at a food place and never going back. I literally don’t understand how these rest of the reviews are positive when this place is this soo bad. I have been to other Caribbean places and I definitely know how a jerk pork and jerk chicken taste like.

I just had a beef patty and took 6 patties home. And trust me these are the best beef patties I ever had. Best Caribbean restaurant in Toronto, Clean & Great Hospitality. Never seen cleanest restaurant than this, including ambiance and washroom everything is vibe. Do visit this place. Recommended.
