Slab Burgers | The Slab Pizza

Great tasting burgers made with quality beef patties, brioche style buns, fresh ingredients and toppings, all cooked to order. Been here three times so far and quality has been consistently good. They are generous with their fries portions - their medium size comes in a 12oz drink cup, and I believe their large size is a 16oz drink cup size. They also serve chicken, lamb and veggie burgers, fish and chips, wings, pizzas and offer a gluten free bun option so there's pretty much something for everyone. Not many tables, I think only 6 in total, so more of a take out place, but you can order from the counter then dine in. If you're in the Bay and Bloor neighborhood, Slab Burger is a great option.

Ordered the beyond meat burger and it was served to me completely raw. It even smelled like the raw burger when you take it out of the package. I went to the counter to explain and ask for a more well done burger and the service was awful. The girl had no customer service skills and was just at a loss of what to say to me, just looked at me for a while. Eventually she asked (in an annoyed tone) if I wanted them to make me another one which I agreed to. Opened up my new burger and it was exactly the same. Raw and not cooked any differently than the first one. At this point I just threw both burgers in the trash and left. Response to Shop Owner/Manager: I'm a bit confused by your response. This issue is completely related to the cooking of the burger in the moment, not prep. Prep would have nothing to do with the cook barely cooking a burger when someone orders it. I don't think it should be my responsibility to get a reimbursement for raw food. Honestly, that should have been offered to me by the staff along with the replacement burger (that should have been cooked). Additionally, customers don't have unlimited time to continue to go up to the counter to complain about food not being cooked. After the second time, I needed to leave and didn't have time to deal with getting another burger. Bottom line, I should have been offered a refund the first time I came up to the counter with a raw burger.

Little hole in the wall on Charles St. Ordered a single slab burger. If you're the type that likes to customize your burger, you'll love the HUGE selection of toppings. Not me though. I like a burger that a chef has lovingly created with toppings that said chef has specifically chosen in order to fulfill their vision of what a burger should be. Not everyone is me though, and the burger was perfectly fine. If you need a quick bite, Slab Burger is there and the burgers are fine, but if you're some kind of hamburger connoisseur, there are better burgers to be had.

The prices are reasonable and the service is excellent. The food is served quickly. They serve high quality beef and you can also add as many burger toppings as you want. Highly recommended!

This is my favorite place to get vegetarian poutine in the area! The prices are decent and staff are very attentive. The food comes out fairly quickly as well. I have returned to this spot multiple times to satisfy my poutine cravings and plan on continuing that! I recommend Slab for when you are craving something filling.

I will be honest with a reader in this review. I can't keep this secret any longer... Slab Burger is going to hold responsibility for my baby! I am a big fan of the slabburger. Yes, I did eat my meal with it and yes, it was quite tasty, as well as a good source of protein, which is what I was looking for in a burger - just not too much meat on it (as my wife calls me). I love that there are different kinds of slabs available, from the traditional beef to turkey, chicken and veggie options that taste great! And you have your choice of two bun flavors: regular or gluten-free (which is always a plus when trying new foods!). The burgers are grilled to perfection right in front of you and served up fresh to go, or made to order using fresh ingredients.

Your local greasy spot for those cravin’ nights. The burgers are great and toppings are unlimited! Even ‘premium’ toppings like guac and sautéd onions. If you’re vegan the black bean burger is miles better than anywhere else I’ve tried. Has the consistency of a real burger and tastes real deal. The poutine is probably one of the best in the neighborhood since Holy Chuck closed (they offer veg gravy as well). Pizzas are great too, especially like the thin crust.

Slab burgers offers a good quality burger at a reasonable price point. They have a large variety of options so there are a bunch of combinations you can have, including off menu if you ask. My friend asked for a double cheeseburger with pulled pork and they accommodated. The burger was tasty. There's a big difference with freash ground meat and frozen pre made patties. If you don't understand this, we can't be friends. Worth a try if it's your first time and or another visit if you're a repeat. Will come back.
