Simple Burger

This cozy burger joint, located right next to Christie Pits Park, serves up the best smash burgers in town hands down. The buns are absolutely phenomenal - super fluffy on the inside, making every bite even more enjoyable. The burger itself hits all the right spots, and their house sauce is a game-changer. You simply can't go wrong with their menu. Highly recommend giving them a try!

This review is long overdue!! I have been a regular here for an embarrassingly long time, but happy to continue to be! Their chicken tastes like it is breaded in house and fresh with their own spice blend. It has a nice peppery flavour unlike other places that serve chicken tenders which have a very "same" flavour. Their fries always are fresh and perfectly seasoned. They maintain a nice crispy nature even after being drowned in a delicious gravy and cheese. The curds may not be the squeakiest, but they melt perfectly to create a nice creamy and stringy poutine experience! They never skimp on the toppings and I am always satisfied by the meal. On rare occasions, I get one of their brownies to finish off the meal. It is a decadent dessert that borders on chocolate fudge-like consistency with a deeply satisfying sweetness. If the weather is good, I highly recommend eating out on the little patio they have out there. There's also lots of window seating and a few tables indoors in case you're looking to escape the outside world.

Ordered rice pudding and it was molded I ask them why do they serve this and they said that they have not had any complaints. Worst quality food check makes me wonder if they even check their inventory daily and food quality being stored

I just stopped at Simple burger for lunch and I have to say, this is hands down one of the best smash burgers I’ve ever tried. Hakan recommended me to have the double burger with the onion rings and I’m happy I listened to him. If your in the Bloor and Bathurst area, you MUST try this spot!!! I will definitely come back again 🔥

This burger spot is insane! The only smash burger I've ever liked before this spot is the one my husband makes when a craving hits. No burger place as compared to his, until we discovered this spot. On a random day adventure while looking for a quick lunch we discovered Simple Burger and now we are excited to visit again! The bun was perfect, meat was flavorful and juicy and everything was put together perfectly. For a burger lover this is the spot for you to be! They have indoor seating and patio options. The only annoying thing is you can only access and leave the patio through the restaurant itself. No option to just leave from the outside even though there are a couple of gate doors there they are locked. I didn't have much interaction with the staff as my hubby was the one who placed the order but I will update next time I get the opportunity to visit.

Great little burger joint right next to Christie Pits park. Had the double patty burger combo with onion rings + 15% tip. Came to $32.49. Service was great, burger was very tasty. Not too salty, not too oily, perfect amount of pepper and sauce. The fries were good, the onion rings were clean and crunchy. The dipping sauce was a nice mayo based sauce, unlike the weird salad dressing sauces you’ll get at Harry’s or Dave’s Hot Chicken. Top 3 burger in the city. I’ll be coming back for sure

I'm always game for smashburgers and fried chicken sandwiches. Rosie's and Dave's Hot Chicken are still the gold standard for burgers and fried chicken sandwiches respectively. The burger at Simple Burger reminds me of Burger Drops. It has a good crust on the patties, but the beef is under seasoned. The bun is too big, throwing off the beef to bun ratio. Definitely need to have the double patties. The single patty is overwhelmed by the bun. For those who like yellow mustard on their burger, they do not carry yellow mustard. The fried chicken sandwich was pretty good. But compared to Dave's Hot Chicken, it lacks flavour and crunchiness. However, it was moist. The fries were pretty good, but would have been better if it were more crisp. The coleslaw was awful.
